Here is an e-mail that Jason from JP Customs sent me tonight. He has sweetened the pot with an additional offer for us!!!

Hey David, I was checking out the post on the [sic - group purchase] and I'm impressed. It seems there is definitely some interest. I see that there is a little confusion as to the difference between the kits. Allow me to explain.

The only difference in the kits is the trim pieces included. The paint-to-match kit comes with the trim piece for the back of the
steering wheel only. You will reuse your stock steering column trim. The interior matching kit...comes with the trim for the back of the steering wheel and the steering column trim.

This weekend I'm going to add a new page to the website about painting. It will have pictures of the type of paint and different preps used for a long lasting paint job. I have painted a bunch of the Paint-to-Match kits and it's not as simple as just spraying some paint on the trim piece. Without the proper prep, the paint will most likely peel off over time. I don't know how much time as I've [sic - prepped] all the pieces I've done accordingly. That information will be up on the website some time over the weekend.

I forgot to tell you about a painting part to the [sic - group purchase]. For those that don't want to mess with painting or are worried about doing a good job, I will also give them a discount on painting. I usually charge $20 for painting the trim pieces, but I will give everyone in the [sic - group purchase] a $5 discount. So, they can have me paint the trim pieces for $15.

So there you have it - order the kit and get $10 off. Have Jason paint it and save another $5. That's a $180 package for $165 - about the cost of the paint-to-match kit unpainted. Pretty sweet deal!

At that price, I for one will be having Jason paint the trim for me... in this case black, charcoal black, or whatever.

Tim

Sounds good to me. That's one less thing to do before installing the kit. That also means at least one day sooner to have it in.

Hey Jason and Av guys -

I am here to tell you that I installed the steering whell audio controls - successfully, after one f-up on my part that of course required me to dissamble nearly all that I had assembled  - and it works great, did take half of my tool box and over 3 hours, but it was worth it.

Glad you like it. If you have any questions, just drop me an email. jpcustoms@jpcustoms.com
