OK. Just came home from Best Buy. He said couldn't do it. He wanted $80. No way - not with all of you guy's and gal's help.

Here's the deal. I just recently had a Pioneer P47 HU installed at Best Buy. It was a present to me, complete with installation, from my son.

He recently bought a 2000 Chevy Regular Cab PU. It had a crummy aftermarket HU in it. He's not ready to buy a HU, so I offered to put the factory HU out of the Av into his.

Pulled the bezel off and pulled the unit out. Wouldn't you know it, the previous owner cut off the wiring harness and spliced his wiring harness into the factory wires.

I bought a reverse wiring harness to get it back to OEM state so I could just plug and play with Av factory HU into the Chevy. Salesperson acted like I was an idiot and said I wouldn't be able to do it because the aftermarket wire colors are different and yada yada yada but now he pi***d me off and I'm doing it come hell or high water.

Does anybody have info so WE can wire it back? The I can go back and say WE DID IT!

So what was the outcome of this?

I'm curious as to what you ended up doing?

I'm sure Maverick will post when he has time but we traded a few ;D emails over the weekend and everything is cool! I believe he got his son's truck all wired up and everyone is happy! :)

Got it hooked up in 1.5 hours. I guess that means I made $53.33 per hour for that install.

No problem with the TheftLoc. If you haven't set a code yourself, you can change out, put in another vehicle, and it works fine.

Still plan to go to Best Buy. Oh Alex, where are you, Alex? Kiss my #&*!!!!!!!!!

Now it's on to adding a Bazooka tube sub. I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 75 to power the sub that I used to have in an older Suburban.

Should be interesting.
