Stereodomain's website lists an '02 Av as using 7" speakers as stock and everything else as needing an adaptor. I'm assuming this is incorrect. A 6.5" is stock while a 6-3/4 would also fit w/o modification, correct?

Also, has another ordered their adaptor kit and harness from them? This is listed as GM 95-99 vehicles...

I was hoping to save money over a big box, but these ?? arose.

A 6.5" is stock. A 6.75" (6 3/4") will fit. You could get a 7" in there with with a little modification to the front door. The rear has a big cutout so you could fabricate your own plate and mounts and fit anything in there. The only problem is with the rear doors, your speakers will have to be shallow or installed with a spacer bracket to keep from hitting the windows when they are down.
The adaptor and harness kit you are refering to, is that for the speakers or for the head unit?

Your other option to modifying the door/cutout would be some type of pod to replace the speaker grilles with and then surface mount the speaker. Never seen 7" done that way but I believe there is a member packing two 6.5's or 6.75's in the same pod but with very little room to spare. Wish I could remember who it is ....

Harness is for the head unit. Certain speaker sets also can with a harness but that's what doesn't confuse me...

Little extreme for me...I have the kid in the back half of the time. I'm just interested installing a different headunit and possible fronts. I would n't be able to enjoy the power of my 10s 1/2 the time anyway..so they'll be collecting dust in the ole' garage.
