Hey folks, I didn't catch what date it is but I saw on the Weather Channel they are doing a Tybee Island Polar plunge to raise money to rebuild something. I'd forgotten about your hurricane, it's probably something storm damaged no repaired yet.
Aw come on, how cold can it be in Savannah, GA? I think the water is in the high 50's and the air temp will be about, 65, that's not a real polar plunge. We had temps near 80 in March in Michigan when I dove thru a thin film of ice into a frigid small spring fed lake, that's almost a polar plunge.
I made $6 on two bets I wouldn't do it then told my best friend I'd be first in the water that year. He took it as a dare and raced me to the water, I won the race, collected my $6 and laughed while my teeth chattered.
Hope the rebuilding is going well, I've always wanted to visit the Atlantic Ocean in GA. Used to go down to Panama City Beach, FLA on the gulf while stationed at Fort Benning.
Would love to make a GTG at STI, now that I'm retired I might find the time. No Avalanche thru no fault of mine so you'll have to excuse me for driving a GMC Acadia or maybe something else of the SUT or SUV nature by then since they no longer build AVs.
A 2017 Colorado ZR2 off-road could be in my future, scroll down the page to see truck features on link.
