O.K., now that it's over  let's get some feedback on your STI experiences.
What did you guys liek, what did you hate, what could we do differently, what should we keep, any thoughts, questions, praises, complaints.
I'm looking for everything here, so open up.
We (the STI planning crew) want to make your next East Coast event even better (if that's even possible).
Let us know here.

My only thing:
1. "General" raffle tickets will be given to EVERYBODY, including the kids.
I will also work on "kids" prizes for this portion of the weekend.
2. Raffle will take place after some music/dancing (maybe in the middle).
3. Raffle will go a bit faster, I hope at least. It ended kind late.
4. More product/food/drink donations - more coke, pepsi, water, o.j., etc... (not everyone wants beer at 10am)
5. Drinking (alcohol) will should not take place during to specific events (Dolphin Cruise ;) )
5. Maps/directions to all events/restaurants.
6. More detailed shedule of events (times/locations/directions), there is getting to be so many AV's that it's hard to keep a continuous line on the highway without hitting the redlights (some folks actually stopped at the redlights) ???

Any other thought?

Rob

Just a FYI/reminder also. During the first meeting Hoss and Mama Jo handed out feedback flyers that they made.

If you did not turn these in and still have them, please take a moment to look it over again.

Feel free to add your comments here to address them privately with the STI staff. Please see the STI Contacts page to contact one of us privately.

I will also add an anonymous feedback from to the STI site for those that want to give feedback but remain anonymous.

Well in all fairness Hoss and Mama Jo did the flyers... ;)

My only thing, NO MORE early events, a little sleep time is nice ;D

As far as the raffle goes, I didn't get any tickets, general or otherwise, I was running around and stuff and missed out...maybe let people purchase tickets up until a few minutes before the raffle.

Kim, Where were you? ??? :2:
WVSquatch was calling out a count-down to the raffle.
(Raffle will begin in 15...10...5 minutes, last chace to get tickets).
;) ;) ;)

Ooops! Ok, updated. I had just gotten my Sportwing, I was still a little googlie-eyed. Heck, I still am. :2:

Maybe spread the raffles out over the entire weekend?

I like the idea of being able to put tickets in only for the raffles that you are interested in... but, it should be limited to one prize per person per category. IE: Dazed Dave winning three window vents...

You folks need to ease up on the beverages prior tho the big events >:D

That's a possibility for the Grand Strand GTG in June.

I agree. But some folks like it that way, since they traded for other items.
I would go with your idea though (one winner per category).
We have time to work out the details before the G.S. GTG in June.

Rob

hey hey....you got my second bug deflector ;)

But seriously, my suggestions are:
A) set a schedule of events
B) provide printed copies of the schedule/directions to events (w/maps)
C) include contact # for event organizer(s) so that folks can get updates if they get sidetracked
D) Stick to the schedule.

I think this would resolve a lot of the issues folks have and also allow them some flex time.

We actually extended the time that we started by over a half an hour? I am sorry that you missed out! Next time.............

I do not mind some ragging but I had a couple of really DRUNK heckalers in the crowd!! Enjoy but do not over do it!

Wvusquatch

I wish there was a better way so that someone did not win more then one of the same prizes, but if you put in more then one ticket and there is more then one prize it is only fair??? If more tickets were in the bucket it would have evened out more! I guess we can see what we can do about for next time.

How many Avalanches and how many members did you have at this event? We had 45 Avalanches at the Central Indiana Modding GTG and this looked like it was shaping up to be much larger! You can see our stats HERE. Did you keep stats from your evet? Big events are great!

I know we had 42 on the first leg of the cruise, with 2 or 3 AV's left behind in the parking lot. Plus I think we had a few show up after the cruise for 1 day. Who out there knows the total that showed up for the GTG?

Wiki

We had 42 for the Fort Pulaski Cruise.
3-4 were left in the hotel parking lot (rough night).
1 left early due to a sick child.
7-8 members didn't show up at all.
All told we had around 50-55 AV's present during the weekend.

Our numbers are about the same.
We didn't keep a formal list going.

Rob

I  growing pains. (y)

Lets all grow "GTG Wise" together.

Many AVers attending ECRM and STI understand the enjoyments we shared in only 4 months between these GTG events. ;D and ;D

Most AVers attending STI as their first GTG event spoke clearly of their
personal reasons to attend.

New "AV Friendships" do begin face to face.

Hey I only WISH that was why I was sick....I'd have traded infection and fever for a foo foo hangover >:D

I think we're on our way to being better organized, if anyone needs help in the future for anything, I'm the obsessive compulsive listmaker.... :2:

Kim

Well no hangover here for me ;D

I dont know what you all are talking about ;D

Well I would have lliked to see some more modding and otehr stuff like that on the trucks. The swap meet did not happen either and I know several people were looking forward to that.

Having other AVers there to help out would be great especialy if they have been threw it before.

Maps etc would be good. Red light what was that? ;)

If I can help out on the next one let me know I will do what I can.

And No Mike and Pat I am not bringing the vette. Not with all those lifted AV out there. Run right over her. :2:

I think more H2O would have been good for all those drinkers out there. >:D

Tinman and I talked priior, The flyers were just a simple reprint of the STI-GTG webpage so peeps could see who was there, who they met and make any note of the thigs they liked or didn't. Most of all to enjoy and have fun.
MHO; Zukracer hit it pretty much on the head, Have maybe an itinerary copies up front when peeps check in or sign in somewhere this way we can tag each other or keep up with the crowds. - Maybe do the raffle like during the day hours around like noon, You can win / trade / ?? then put em on or just to hang out in the lot and do mods and what nots... instead of working in the dark or miss another event.

For the H20 I brought three cases and left with about four bottles, so, aqua was consumed as much anything else..

I like the daytime raffle suggestion, and the 'modding time' idea.

Personally, I am going to drink less, so I can wake up earlier (and remember more - right, Bisonovich?) :p

Also, at STI, I kind of treated it like a homecoming for ECR, and spent a lot of time with people I already know from ECR. I wish I would have spent more time meeting different people...

BUT, It was all a blast! Can't wait for the next one...

what were we talking about again...was there a raffle...was i present...there'd have to be some photographic evidence of this...

Reading my raffle ticket numbers off the tickets as fast as i can to try and keep up with Wvusquatch was tough...and Wvusquatch you know i have nothing but love for ya..

Day time raffle would be nice and maybe put names on tickets so ppl don't go crosseyed trying to read tickets at 90mph

i have to drink less from now on...seeing as i couldn't very well drink much more...
