FRS Radios..? I know many of you all have them now installed directly into your trucks..? But for those that do not,? please bring them..?
They are EXTREMELY important if not required for cruises??
As always we will be on Channel 3..

I've been meaning to get some for a LONG time, now I have the perfect excuse (err..reason) to do it. What brand/model combo do you guys suggest? Midland seems to have some for up to 18 miles (although I'm sure that's on the water  :p) now and I'm guessing Cobra does too. Input appreciated.

Same here, I looked at some Motorola's.  What do you suggest and where do I get it from?

I wouldnt spend a lot of $$ on these unless you need them for something else, and can afford the license required with the bigger sets that Skyview is speaking of..
Any FRS model is fine..  At best maybe $40 for a set..  Manufacture is up to you, they all are about the same..

most chargers should be 9V 150mA output, many have an aux charger for in the truck too so you should be able to borrow a charger or get someone to charge them easy? :D? I finally got some FRS radios, tripped over some Midland onsale $14 before SNGTG

Will be going shopping for a pair this w/e. Any recommendations from those who are thrilled with theirs let me know.

We had them on channel 3, but couldn't communicate.? I found out why after the cruise.? Everyone was on channel 3, but also on subchannel 0.? We were on subchannel 1? :(? Hopefully we can get that straight next year.

Wokred out well, considering we had 44 AVs go to and from River street..  Guess we have to keep in mind that technology is always adding more features to the newer systems..

The cruise was still sweeeet! even though we couldn't talk to anyone.  Some of the comments we heard from the crowd will go down in memory.

One laid back guy on the street said "this must me something really important"
