I have been using this product called Trim Shine on all cladding and it works great. It puts a nice mild shine on all the cladding and it does not leave white streaks after a rain storm. It sprays on from an aerosol can so you can do your whole truck in less than 10 minutes with no wiping required. It costs 3.99 at Pep Boys. Try a can, you will like it.

Is this the product made by Stoner's?

It is pretty good but the aerosol spraying can make a mess on the paint.

I have been using the 303, and the runs drive me crazy. I like the UV protection though. This stuff sounds good, but the spray sounds like it might have some overspray issues. Is the spray pattern easily controlled and does it have any UV protection to it?

The web site is offering a big discount on a case of 12. Only $32.83 per case, That equals $2.74 per can. I paid 3.99 at Pep Boys. I'm ordering my case now!!!

This product also works great under the hood...spray it and forget it......shines and looks good.....

As for using on the cladding it would be a good product but I think a bit too shiny for my tastes...also when windy the stuff does get on paint......

You can buy any stoner product by the case from them...check out the Invisible glass....

Also more shine less time works great in the fender wells....

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to get some for under the hood and the wheel wells and see just how shinny it is.

that's great, you just spray and let the product do the rest.....I've been using the 303 protectant and have to admit I also get frustrated with it at times....may have a new product to test out....thanks.. :B:

I know what you mean about the wax on the cladding...but a soft toothbrush and the 303 should get the wax out of the cladding.... :B:

How do you keep from getting wax on the cladding and how do you get it off? ?:cautious:

Check the "Detailing Thread List" at the top of this forum. All the previous discussions on numerous detailing subjects (including yours) are listed there.

Another tiup about wax and cladding....before waxing apply protectant to cladding first...this makes clean up of wax easier...

Try a white vinylk eraser to remove wax from cladding too...

When you spray trim shine on cladding that has those white wax marks, They disappear. The cladding gets a nice uniform color with a light shine. The only negative to trim shine is that if you do every exterior piece of cladding on your truck, 1 can of Trim Shine lasts for 2 applications.

Talk about service. I ordered some of the trim shine and a few other items from Stoner yesterday morning on the net. ?

Most of what I ordered was free shipping. Didn't figure I'd see any of it until maybe Monday. ?Lo and behold Fedex dropped everything off this afternoon very much to my surprise.

Now to find out how it holds up on the cladding. ?:cautious: ? I've been a diehard 303 user long before the Avalanche came into the picture.

Thank you!!! I used it yesterday and this morning no runs from the morning dew like the other stuff I tried. I hate them RUNS ?:C: I am going to have to buy this by the case.
Thanks Again for the TIP!!

thanks Screamin! i totally forgot about this product. i read about it in Truckin' magazine. i looked for it at Wal-mart and could not find it. so you say they have it at Pep Boy's. i'm there today at lunch. thanx! :B:

I'd like to hear any thoughts on using Vinylex on the cladding. I used it last time I detailed, and I really liked it. Used a kitchen sponge to apply. I haven't noticed any streaking or such, and the bird crap rinses right off!

Anything negative I should know before I continue using this stuff? It was highly recommended on someone's car care site.

I have looked at the site and searched our forums and I can't find out what is in TrimShine, They infer that it is not the same stuff that is in 303. Since no one has stated that it leaves a residue, I am assuming that it is different from what is in AmourAll. Does any know what is in TrimShine? ???

? i found the TrimShine this evening at Pep Boy's just like you said. ?they had plenty of it too. ?just can't wait to use it. ?it is raining now so i have to wait. thanx! ;D

Vinylex

is the product to use on the vinyl cladding and other rubber (except tires - best product to use there is Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance High Gloss Tire Gel
0811.jpg
- it's excellent and lasts longer than any other product I've tried).

As for removing wax from the cladding - that's simple and quick if you have two items:

1. ?Old toothbrush (or new one ?>:D ?)

2. ?Simple Green

Wet the bristles and gently "scrub" away the offending wax. ?Viola! ?It's gone ? (y) ?

Vinylex is a good product and is similar to 303.....which ever is easier to purchase is the product to use....
