Strange problem...

I have a new 03' Z71 Av with the memory seats... with easy exit turned on, the seats would lower and slide all the way back. A couple of days ago they stopped sliding all the back and do not lower at all. They will lower manually but not as a part of easy exit. They slide back partially but not all the way. I have tried lowering the seats all the way and storing this as the new position and then putting them back to where they were... however the seat will not go back to the lowered position on exit.

Any ideas on how to reprogram the seats?

I have an 02 so I don't have any of the memorey goody's, but the first thing I would try is disconnecting the battery. That may clear the memory so you can restore the right positions. However, they may be a pain in the rear with the radio etc. You may just wan to call a dealer and see if they know the trick.

Have you checked that the easy exit is still enabled in the DIC?

yes and if fact it does move back slightly when I turn off the truck. Just not as far as it used to. I called the service manager at the dealer. They called me back and stated there was a service bullitin for this issue. something about replacing the memory module.
