I just installed a http://www.subthump.com/ under seat box with 2 Elemental Design speakers and a ED amp. The box fits really good and the speakers and amp sound great. Sorry the date is wrong.

Will the seat fold all the way down i noticed you still had the headrests in
Doubt it..  BUt would like to know for sure..  The only reason why I say doubt it is there is no gap in the box where the hinges come down..  :(

I don't think it will fold all the way down with the box directly underneath the seat. I left plenty of extra speaker wire to be able to move the box if need be. I didn't really worry about the midgate fully opening because I have never used it nor did I think I ever would. I do know that if I wanted to use it I can take the speaker box out in less than 5 minutes. All you have to do is unplug the speaker wires and remove the box. I never tried but I think I should be able to move the box forward and be able to lower the gate a lot more if need be.

MB1.  Congrats on the new setup.... So is it as nice as I informed?

Mine as you know is nearly the same setup only diff being my amp is a phoenix gold ti600.1.  Just about the same power output.  I'm really happy with mine.  The box fits perfect and sounds REALLY good!

I'm with you on opening the midgate.  I have had this for about 1.5 years and I believe I have opened the midgate twice.  Not to use.. Only to crack it open, I guess to say I did.

The setup really is nice. I am using my stock HU and it sounds great.

Any reason you guys went with the down fire box vs the up fire box? The up fire box looks like it has more cf.

I looked at boxes for a long time. After trying several around town that did not fit like they were supposed to I decided to mail order. I found Subthump on the web and after talking to the owner several times I decided to give it a shot. He sounded really confident about the down fire. He was right, it sounds great.

I believe the cuft that the subthump box has is plenty for the 11.kv Elemental sub.  I have had behind the seat sealed behind the seat ported.  To me... I really like the sound best from the down fire box.

MB1.  If / when you add another amp for the front subs, you can build an amp rack that will pressure fit into the midgate where the glass is stored.  A quick way to cut to fit... take your glass out and trace from there.  add some felt and should be good to go.  You can mount your amps to that board rather than screwing into your midgate or seats.  I will try to remember to take some photos when I get home to post.  That is how mine is done.

Looks great? Hows the bass/sound?

Sam

The bass has real good sq and plenty spl. I already find myself turning down the bass. I usually run it about half way on the stock hu. But I do crank it up when the right song is on.

Just wanted to let people know about a cheap upgrade that is a must if you are using your stock HU. I added a PAC LC-1 bass controll knob between my amp and HU. This allows you to controll just the subwoofers without adjusting your front and rear speakers. Contact Subthump to get one , you wont be disappointed.
