Installed my subwoofers today, 2 JL 8w6's. The enclosure is the same style as the Woodlawn one. This is temporary as I am not thrilled with not being able to fold the seat down. So this setup will be up for sale shortly...
In this months trucking there is a sub install that was done with fiberglass. By molding the box to the truck you gain more clearance. I am going to shop on monday to discuss this.

I also am in the process if installing the steering wheel controls with SWIX interface this weekend. I mounted the IR sensor in the overhead domelight.

Nice clean looking install! Too bad we just can't get those rear seats down...

Thanks Carrerarod. Are you happy with your subsolutions box? I know their boxes sound great as I sold them a few years back. Its amazing the output they get out of a 6.5!
Have you seen this months truckin? Someone did a box under a ext cab chevy but they molded it to the floor. I am going to try this with some JL Audio 6.5 inch woofers. I heard a set in a guys truck at one of the audio stores and they sounded great.
I think if you remove the portion of carpet the box would set on and mold it to the floor then I think the seats might fold almost flat.

I did not see that issue. Here are a few observations I have:

-The carpet and padding probably take an inch of space. If you were to cut out and remove the carpet and padding under the seats where the box would go, you would gain an inch. Now an inch ain't much but...

-Someone else here had thought of raising the seat. This would probably allow the seats to fold down but I believe that the midgate would be at a little angle because the seats would be higher.

I still like the enclosure. Being sick for the past week so not much playing with it. I also got a new vette yesterday so I am thinking about the audio mods on that one. They have some really trick locations for some subs! ;D

Here is the install

I think if you raised the seat the seat and cut out the carpet and used 6.5's then the midgate would be usuable.

Have you seen JLs box for the C5? It sounds awesome and does not interfere with any space.
Did you get a Vette with the selective ride suspension? I drove a 03 the other day and that feature alone almost made me buy one.
Time for some HRE's and a Corsa exhaust :)

Haven't seen the JL boxes yet...

yea...mine is fully loaded incl. the crappy bose system.

I am looking at a corsa exhaust but gotta work on finding some suppliers for all the mods I want to do to it. I have a huge collection of e-tailers for my Porsche's but nada for the vette....

sure is a different ride...the torque is awesome!

you wanna see some crazy mod freaks? check out the vette owners!

Owned a 78,87, and 95. Vette people are a whole different breed. I think there are more aftermarket tuners /acc. suppliers than any other car made.

Too bad that you are not closer to Florida, Ecklers holds a big Corvette bash once a year and they blow out a bunch of products, have a auction, and a car show.

I had the B&B on my 95 and it looked great but was very annoying at highway speed (75-80). However they may be different on the c-5 . I have friends that have C-5s with Corsas and Borla systems and they sound good and are not loud at cruising speed.

The JL box fits in that rear well space. It doesnt interfere with top storage or cargo space.

I also noticed that the "chip" of choice for the C5 may be the "Predator" by Diablo.

I think I may just get one of those...

That's HARD CORE Lorinser!!!

You must loooovvvvve your music. I don't think I'd go to that extreme but I love looking at it, Carrerarod must be proud.

Has anyone actually gone far enough to take it somewhere where they can actually cut out the floor of the Av and add a custom enclousure? Don't even know if this is possible but it may give you extremest's the room to get these in.... plus, I'd love to see something like this done ;D

A few years ago Speaker Works did a few installs where the sub was mounted in the floor.
I would consider this , but since the Av is so heavy I wouldnt want to risk the structural integrity.
I am not concerned with the migate coming laying flat. My road bike fits perfectly in the back area and I prefer carrying it their then on the roof rack.

Here's some pics of the rear console position for a sub.
