However much I'd love to go offroading at Rausch Creek, I did not have enough warning on this GTG (which is completely my fault), so I won't be able to attend, it's about a week away and given that its about a 5 hr drive through PA on 84 and 81 (which no offense to any PA members, is about as interesting as watching paint dry), and also that I've got other plans made; I only do that drive once a year, and I've already done it. I hope every one has fun and I'm looking forward to the pics.

Sweet, cause there's no way I'm tearing through the woods in my Av again.
Did it once, dirt is still falling off the underside!
theres not alot of mud there this time of year. its more like a drive through the woods with a few rocks and tree stumps here and there. you might change your mind when you get there.

    WHAT?  No mud?  wtf!

Guess instead of bringing the AV, I'll be bringing my 5 gallon bucket of water.

I'll make sure to get Mud on all that are involved.

It's ain't off roading if you don't get any road on ya.

FYI...  I'm riding with LHCBinpa.

You can put me in the maybe..Hopefully after Thursday moving to the going

Just out of curiosity, what trails are you guys planning on doing, just the green trails, or would you consider doing some of the more challenging trails, like the blue or purple trails? I was just thinking that the green trails even for a stock AV would be way to easy, but I'm sure the park has rules for each trail like (must have a winch, or other recovery gear). And that would limit the trails available.

Are you going James21? I am trying to work things out so I can go.

Whenever someone says offroading esp if mud is involved I almost have to go ;D. But it is 4.5 hrs away. On the other hand I've always wanted to go, and my AV is in good working condition. The only thing is, I would be coming down on Sunday just for the offroading and then driving home. So it'd be about 9hrs of driving in one day. That would be the most I've driven just to go offroading, usually I drive 1-2 hrs to a place and spen 3 hrs in the woods or on a trail trying to get stuck, and then head home. If I were to go down for the weekend that would be one thing, or if I had someone come down with me on Sunday. But to do that drive again by my self starting at 0530, I think its going to be too much, esp if its just going to be easy trails.

I would be doing the same thing..Mapquest shows about 4 hours for me from Long Island. I would leave about 6am I guess. If I was able to bring my ATV and follow the AV's I would be there in a heart beat. But being we are sticking to easy trails my stock suspension AV would be fine. Add to that, some ATV and dirtbike guys from LI are heading to PA the following Sunday to ride at a new ATV park in the Poconos. Two trips to PA in a week might be to much. I guess I will make up my mind today  :D

You're welcome to join us on Saturday. It would help break up the driving and you'll get twice as much fun!

The Poconos is only about half the distance for you.

Plus this is the ONLY Region 1 Regional GTG in 2007, you gotta come!

(Ok you don't gotta, but I'd really like you to!)

I also still have my Silverado SS wheels on. I would have to switch back to the stock wheels. I would feel more comfortable doing that. My old lady wants to close the pool on Sunday. She is not the type to get angry if I go though. She is not helping my decision at all. Looking at the pics it looks like fun

Well I did think about coming out saturday, I just don't want to spend any money on a motel for the night (money is a little tight right now) (my gas is paid for by my company). I mean I can call the park and try to get with a group of other trucks in my class so I could try some blue or blue/black trails, but I'd have to get there by 0800-0900 for their Charity trail ride for diabetes. I'm still up in the air, but if you do plan on heading out their sunday morn Mike and want to meet up, maybe if I have someone to run with through PA, maybe I'll make the trip.

I was going to decide today as I am off. (been rewiring HID fogs and lubing steering shaft). But I get out of work early tomorrow so I still have time to change my wheels. Cant do it Saturday as I work 12 hrs. So I guess I have to make up my mind around 2 tomorrow because I would have to detour to my parents where I have my wheels. I will post about that time to let you know If I am going.

James..I did notice that some of the harder trails are off the main trails and then lead back to main trails. Maybe we can pull to the side to let you and SRFNSNO to have some fun and meet you back where the trail returns to main trail. Check out some of the maps.

Mike

I looked at the maps over the summer, and then looked at them again a couple days ago, and I would definitely like to try some of the blue trails. It would really depend on where we would be starting. I've been looking into the West/south property, and If we took the power line trail which is trail "H" there are a couple blue trails off that like "18-A & B", If we went in the South park the easy trail is the "S" trail, and the only harder ones off that are Boot hill which is expert only, and that means major carnage for either Eric or myself, and snake bite which appears to be a step up from the blue or intermediate trails. But thats a pretty lengthy one, and I couldn't find any pics of it. I'm going to gve them a call and get more info.

-James.

I'll make up ID badges and welcome packets for both of our offroading maybes.

Gotta come to get them otherwise they go in the trash.

Sorry but those are the rules.  >:D

I wouldn't ask you to come unless I knew you'd have a good time.

Plus I know our members would love to see your awesome shock setup.

Who is coming that didn't get a chance to see it in Nashville?

Just glancing over the list, I think the only attendee's that went to Nashville that are signed up for Carlisle are bonesaw and myself.
