i wont be comming. i am very very upset.
i would have taken the 3 hour trip because i wanted to go four wheeling and i needed help to do a dual battery mod.
i did receive the painless performance kit. my dealer [hb chevrolet, where i purchased the avy in 2/07] did receive the tray and hardware today. however i was in bristal CT today for a memorial. i told the parts guy i will not be able to make it back by 5pm, can you leave it in sales- since they are opened until 7pm. he said ok-this was at 2pm today.
i arrived back home at 5:30pm. i headed straight to the dealer. guesss what- no tray-no parts. a sales rep says "the part guy is a new man. he did not know its against company
policy to have parts in sales. the parts guy tried to call you and he left a message." how i am supposed to pickup parts if i work during the day and parts and service is only opened from 7:30am - 5pm mon-fri. so to add insult, he suggested i call back on monday- see if i can pay over the phone and then have someone come and pick it up.
i says if i had someone to come and pick it up i would have given that someone the money or reimburse and pick it up today.
policy are guidelines. usualy an exception is done to please the customer. there is no jail time for breaking policy. this place just lost a customer for $40 work of parts.
these folks are able to go into the service center when the service center is closed. i even called attention to it. but he said sorry. now i need to make sure i can use my gm extended warrenty at my usual mechanic. and since i just found out part of the interest chase bank[financed my truck] is charging me is going to the finance guy at the dealer.
please excuse my rant. i am pissed off badly.
