For the info of folks on the other side of the country, there is a guy in Calgary that is a whipple dealer (been installing them for many years).
If someone is interested I can confirm this, but I believe the installed price was les than the 12K. Would need to talk to him as I recall that I had some other stuff done at the same time.

Vortec landed in my garage the other night for $5600 in northern B.C. Will install myself. Just waiting for Vortec to mail me my computer chip. Silly that they dont send it with the SC. Kinda sucks sittin here looking at it. Oh well am getting lotsa time to read the install manual. Will let ya know how it goes.
