Hey Guys,

My stock muffler finally caked with just under 400k km. Thinking about going 3" from the muffler back. I want a step above stock so i went with Flowmaster 53072, stay tuned, post clip soon!

good choice. I have the FM on my ride now

I recently installed a Flowmaster 50 with a new tailpipe and tip. Exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't hear the stock exhaust and had to look at the tach to make sure it was running. I read somewhere that the Flowmaster 50 maybe the sound i was looking for..It was described as " they won't hear you coming, but they will hear you pull in " explains the 50 series very well. I love the deep sound and low cabin resonance on the highway. It has a nice bark also when you step into it. Flowmaster makes a great product and has the sound i was looking for. I hope you enjoy your new exhaust like I do mine 😷 be safe.....

I have also installed the FM 40 on my Avy and I love it!, nice and throaty and reasonably quiet in the cab, I've had a lot of compliments on the sound of it for only having single exhaust.

Yeah still a work in progress, so i have it on the truck, intermediate pipe was b/o so we welded the 70 on to stock pipe, pretty much sounds like stock .... with a minor rumble barely noticeable.

Should have bought a 50 had i known it would be this quiet, oh well for now

If you change to a different muffler it will make a difference, but if you leave the stock muffler on it won't make much of a difference. Your muffler is what dampens the sound.

Yeah, the resonator will dampen the sound.

I have the Flowmaster 70 on the truck now with stock pipe, the muffler was shot , the 3" imter pipe was b/o so we welded the muffler in and left the resonator on

Hey Guys,

Any guess what this noise is , sounds like heat shield, showed up just before exhaust was swapped out, and now after.

Not all the time it seems, shop told me it was one of the cats in the Y pipe coming apart, all my years dealing with cars have i ever seen that.

See sound clip video .....

Here is new sound, i seem to have a rattle that showed up just before the install and is still there after the new muffler, not sure what this is.....

It sounds like either the catalytic converter is coming apart on the inside or the torque converter is hitting the shield. But other than that it sounds pretty good. 👍👍👍

very strange indeed. have you lifted her up and check everything?

Was just at the shop having the exhaust installed and they told me it was cat in the Y pipe, if it is indeed the cat, must be a small piece that come loose but in all my years never seen that

Damn, well you can always upgrade to high-flow cats now hahaha
