Tailgate Handle Bolts-No part numbers!

I recently purchased a new to me 2003 Avalanche. Been fixing things here and there while breaking others. I broke the tailgate handle and purchased a replacement. Well, one of the 3 bolts (T40) that hold the tailgate handle is stripped. I will basically have to find a way to remove it, but more importantly, replace it. Unfortunately, I cannot find any parts diagrams that include these bolts! Does anyone know the part number, or even better, where can I find a parts diagram with all parts online?

Heh, imagine that, after all these years I never realized the first gen and second gen tailgates had different designs. Are these the screws you're referring to?

Those are indeed them. I swear, I can't locate a parts diagram (I purchased an all data account too!) that lists the part numbers. I may have to go to a scrapyard if I can't find them new.

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll find those bolts as available GM parts at this point. Your best bet is to just replace them with another automotive grade bolt. Using your other bolts you can determine what you'll need for a replacement. I attached a document to help determine the thread size. If you need some help finding something, let me know.

It would be really helpful to me if you could post the size of those bolts please?

I am buying a 2500 and its tailgate handle is missing. I can't find the sizes or part numbers anywhere.

Thank you.
