My son and I have new 04's and they both get some drops of water running down the tailgate. I assume this is not unusual so has anyone come up with some type of additional weather stripping or something to seal the gate better? ???

there is a TSB on this.,....they sand the top edge of the tailgate to ensure the seal mates well with a flat smooth surface.....

Or the bed panels need adjustment......

My 04 WBH is doing the same thing. I didn't start having problems until I took the bed panels out and put them back in. So I will try adjusting them first.

Does anyone have the TSB number?

I put a piece of 1/2 round rubber weatherstripping across the back where the panels meet the tailgate. No water since.

what did you attach the weatherstripping to? i have and 1/8 to a 1/4 inch gap on one side. it is like my tailgate or panel is not straight.

i just noticed that where panel 1 touches the back glass, it is not the same on both sides. it is much higher on one than the other. is this just on mine. the glass is all the way in.

Fireeater,
how did you attach the round weatherstripping. Nothing sticks well to that surface unless you sand it down. Has anyone out there tried anything else besides the sanding method. The panels are on straight as can be. Maybe Gummi Phleding the heck out of that seal that meets the tailgate? Ideas anyone?
