Tailgate Lettering

I have a 2002 Victory Red, question is what colour of tailgate lettering looks good - any opinions? I was going to get red "Avalanche" body cladding decals.

Also has anyone tried the domed tailgate lettering offered by autotrimdesign.
 
Supermobile had done this mod. He has the RED, White and Blue letters. I think they look really classy on his red AV!
I have the Pearl Flash on order for my Dark Gray Matallic AV hoping the combo. along with the S.S. cladding letters will look good.

Yes Rita, the patriotic set is real nice and is a real cool setup but not really for us Canucks. I am thinking of black, silver or a red fade color against the red paint.

Anybody have some pictures?

OPPS Avtruck, guess I'd better check out locations before suggesting the patriotic sets next time .. Sorry!

I think the white reflective letters would look cool as well. I almost ordered them for Blanche.

Hey there AVTruck,
I stopped at Autotrim today and picked up my order ( ;D I only live 15 minutes away from them ;D ;D ;D.
They had the domed letters up on display they are really pretty neat, I didnt really know what they would look like, but I was impressed. By the way did you happen to call them today?? Dawn from the shop said someone from Canada that belonged to the club called them today.
 
keenashelby, yep that was me that called Autotrimdesign.

I really wanted the domed letters and asked them if CAFCNA members get a discount.

The response was that they didn't know the answer to that and could offer me no discount without more facts.

I will use the link above and work out an order with Autotrimdesign. It is nice to have group support and discounts.
 
That sounds like a mod i should do, i'ved had the club web site on my tail gate for almost two years it seams to work better than handing out brochures i will have to change it a little with the change in the web site

Thanks for the mention of the discount, I just ordered mine for the cladding and the domed rear letters....

You might want to consider the black reflective. After dark they reflect silver
 
I have the domed lettering and I love it. It's a bit more expensive but worth it if you ask me.
 
When I get settled in Jersey, I'm going to put reflective black on the tailgate and Z66 emblems on the side. I want the stealth look. Reflective black is an almost perfect match for my DGM. :B:
 
I have an 03' AV/WBH and am looking to hi-lite with outline lettering or full lettering on the Chevrolet on the tailgate. Also looking to bring out the Avalanche lettering on the tail gate. I have been to a couple of hot rod and truck accessory shops in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and have had not luck finding the lettering. :6:

Can anyone make any suggestions?
 
merge here since there was a topic already....also please read tghe other threads about decals as most give info about where to buy....

check my sig....several Texas members use tribal AV..... look for the ~ need decal thread. plus others are going down to see him. maybe they can pick you up a set and save shipping. Dave02Z66 lives in Hurst.

Welcome.... also, look for the lunch with Blueruck thread at hooters in lewisville on the 29th.
 
Good sugestions from all - I would like to add Tribal AV - he is a member of this club and has his own decal, lettering and banner company. He does fantastic work and is the most reasonable of all the options listed. Just track him down on the site and drop him a PM and he will help you with design options and pricing.

BTW - I have gotten things from stripeman, autotrim design and TribalAV (Larry) all are quality and all are a great product - Larry is just cheaper and much more personal to deal with. I have some things on order from him now!

Tribal AV is doing mine. He is a club member and he is here in Texas. If you want to see some samples of his work, look at FSUGUY's sig block or DDave02Z66' sig block.

She won't be back until late Monday. And by then, this here high falutin' calkylater will be disconnected and boxed. She might let everyone know in SA. I'll print that thread and the story thread for her before I disconnect everything. ;D
 
I have the fade away letters on my tailgate. Matches the stock fade away z-71 decals.
I'm really happy with mine, It is on black but think it would look good on red as well.
