OK, this would probably be better suited for "Avalanche stories at Pete's Place" but since it's about the performance of the 2 power adders I'm posting it here in FI.



Main One and I met up at Windy Hollow Speedway yesterday.  It was hot as hell but still a fun day with some pretty decent numbers.

Looks like in the 1st pic you were even with the Mustang too. An awesome sight to see >:D

He ran a 8.48.  it was a good run but he got me.

Yea, I would have loved to have lined up with another FI Avalanche but rain killed that chance.  I really wanted to see what Boo had.  He got me 2 out of 3 last year at Huntsville but I've picked up .9sec since then.


 
In the past, I have data logged the nitrous and it ran rich if I ran the jets that Cold Fusion recommended.  So I had been running the 60hp nitrous jet with the 50hp fuel jet.  The bottle pressure on all of those runs was 900-950psi.  Yesterday with the bed covers off and the sun on the bottle, I was seeing 1050-1100 psi which would cause it to spray more nitrous.  Before the first run, I chickened out on that setup and put the 60hp fuel jet in it to be safe.  I logged that run (a 8.97) and it appeared rich, so I went back to my original jet choice of a 50 fuel jet and it picked up another tenth of a second.

I had a set of 75hp jets with me that was tempting. :cool:

 
those seem to be pretty good numbers.  do you think there's more you can get out of it?

Yes and no.  Not much more with my current set up.  I might get by with a tiny amount more nitrous.  To get any more out of it, I think I'll have to go inside the motor.  I feel like I have tune pushed about as far as possible.

 
I wanting to see what kind of numbers Farmtruc ran this weekend.  I'm predicting that he hit the 12's in the quarter.

 
So are you going on with it or are you about done?
