The Av Tent Brings Them Out

I use my Avalanche to pull my boat and have the optional tent that I use for camping. I have had a number of people ask me about my Avalanche. At the service station, in parking lots, at work, you name it and everyone seems interested. But setup the tent on the back of it in a campground and standback.

Last weekend I took the Av and boat to a small lake in N. VA for the weekend. From the time I started to remove the panels and mount the tent they started to move in. I had 7 inquiries within an hour and had a number of cars passing by stop and "talk for a while". I had groups of four coming by to take a look. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had brought a brew with them to share.

Chev owes me for some advertising.

The tent is great! It is definitely large enough for two adults.

Does the midgate stay up with the tent? Or can it come down so you have access to inside the AV from the tent?

BTW - the tent looks great on your AV. No wonder why people stopped to chat.

The midgate can be put up so your gear is secure while you are out during the day. Drop the midgate down though if your're taller than 5'

I have the AV tent too and I love it it is the best thing I have ever camped with one thing to remeber is when you camp on the beach leave the mid-gate and window in when it is cold or it is a little wet in the morning.

I got my tent and air bed in yesterday and plan on putting it on at the Houston Chapter Cruise to Lake Conroe (shameless plug) on Oct 12. My son cant wait. (niether can I)
