To: E. OR Cruise Coordinator:
Count us in on this one. We will probably drive over during the day on Fri. and do some sight-seeing enroute. Thanks for including the Baker OR Trail Center. We've been wanting to see that for awhile.
What would the plan be for Sunday; besides breakfast, head home and lunch?? Bob & crew

we'll need to come home on Sunday fairly early :6:

work shows no mercy :cautious:

However... there are a ton of things to see and do over there... All you need is a tour guide ;D

And I would be happy to be that tour guide (y) Bob if you want to hang around and see some things around La Grande I can show you around and grab some lunch and then you could head home or do what ever. If no one stays all day sunday I may cruise down to Portland to get out of town.

So here is the list so far
AvaLance 1~2 Summit White Z71 Cladding
Danlwil2500 2~3 Victory Red Z71 WBH or DBM 2500 Cladding
Avtripper 4 Silver Birch 2500 Cladding
Steve 1~2 SunSet Orange Z71 WBH
Steelhead Chaser 1~2 Sage Green NFE Cladding

Maybes

Doug 1~2 Summit White LT WBH
Rab356 1~2 SunSet Orange Z71 Cladding
AV-2500 (Jon) Black Z71 WBH or 2500 Cladding

Avalance: I will run the Sunday plan by the crew, we could be excellent candidates to do both the drive-in movie on Fri. Night (perhaps Dan could meet us at the theatre upon arrival??) and the stay over, tour and lunch on Sunday. I personally would like to spend a little time with you on Sunday plus look at all the gas $$$$ you'd save not driving to PDX. You could even drive our AV around and act like a real tour guide. Let's discuss. thanks for the offer. avtripper.

Sounds good, I think I will still go to PDX on Monday not sure see how I feel I want to get down and see my grandpa. The drive in movie starts at Dusk and it shows 2 movies the 1st gets done about 11:00pm if dan want to come join us for the 2nd one he could. Sunday there is lots to see just say what and I can show you or I can come up with a mini cruise idea for us. Any question just PM or call me.

Can't wait

45 days tell this cruise

AvaLance,

I will be in the Portland area at the start of June till next May. Could an out of stater join in the cruise? I will be driving from Phx Az to Hillsboro Or. June 1-3. It would be great to hook up with some of you. I just have to figure if I will be working that weekend or not.

Look for a Summit White WBH with Amber DRLs in the Hillsboro area after June 4.

Look forward to meeting the Oregon crowd.

Azfun

Can I be the first to say "WELCOME" ;D ;D

We'd love to have you join us....

Feel free join us for any of our activities.... We'll be getting together throughout the summer year. (y)

azfun: Of course you can join us, as Dan said we have stuff planned for most of the summer with more things in mind for the fall, etc.
We live near Hillsboro in Beaverton and are looking forward to cruisin' to E OR to see Avalance's part of the state in June. If you do have to work that weekend why not call in sick??? We could even help to fabricate an elaborate story to help you cover your absence for that weekend.
something else you might want to check out is the Leavenworth Cruise on the Wash. site. It's going to be somewhat of a joint venture between several chapters. I think PDXKevin has posted a link to the Leavenworth site so you can see what it is all about. We are planning a group camp at 1000 Trails membership campground. Dates for that cruise are approx Aug 6,7,8,2004. Yes, we could help get you off work that weekend too. And as for your WBH, I am new to the group but as far as I can tell they will welcome you and your AV even w/o the cladding. See you when you get here, bob & crew.

Azfun,

You wouldn't be heading to Hillsboro as part of a particular company's SEED program, would ya? It's nothing bad, I just know several people that work for a company I used to work for in Aloha and Hillsboro that have done exactly that: moved from AZ to OR for a bit.

Most of them were more than ready to go back to the sunshine when there temp assignment was done! ;D

Ramble:

I'm gonna have to try and meet up with the Oregon crowd the next time I am out, if at all possible. But, it's looking like I might be flying out to pick up my boys after they spend time at different family member's homes over the summer - and if a family member picks me up at the airport, my itineray won't allow for much. :6:

I have friends that live about a mile from the DQ the Portland group was just at! And I miss Bi-Mart: took forever to find a pair of long johns for my 11 year old. Yeah, they are out of season here but I am sure I still could find some at Bi-Mart!

And if I was out for the E.Oregon cruise, I could go coyote hunting! >:D

Okay...enough rambling. Gotta hit the rack.

Regards,

-Joe

Joe,

Yes you hit the nail on top of the head, or something like that. I will be there 50 weeks. then come home and start training our staff.

I have been looking at the Oregon group since I heard of the assignment and it seems like a great gang to get to know.

As far a missing my weekend work schedule its not the thing I want to be doing on this assignment. So I will meet you all when I can.

Just to let yu know what I am leaving on Moday it heit our first 100 degree day this year Yippeeee!!! :)

Azfun

Welcome to the land of coffee, micro-brews, and great places to explore in an AV!

Don't forget camping equipt. - we have some great things planned and being planned. This cruise is going to be a great one!

Wish we could do this too, Lance--looks like a lot of fun. But we'll be returning from Mexico with our church youth group that weekend.

Hopefully we'll have some time to get back into the Oregon Av Club spirit this summer.

Brendan
