Good things come to those who wait and the decals are FINALLY here!

They look awesome! ?Nice bright yellow - very, very happy with the final product (and I'm sure all of you will be too).

Sadly most won't get there's before Memorial Day (ARGH) but they will go out in the mail this weekend or Tuesday at the latest.

For those of you who gave me checks for the decals they will not get deposited (see the Chief is an honest broker). ?I know some of you have e-mailed and IM'ed me on why I haven't cashed your checks yet (now you know).

So be watching your mailbox next week for your decals - they are here and they are AWESOME!

;D  :B:

P.S. - Sea/Tac Area Members Only: If you want me to hand deliver your decals on June 1st at our cruise I can do that also - please send me an IM or e-mail ASAP to let me know...

Hey Chief, will you be bringing any "spare" stickers to the Seattle June 1 run?

Thanks for all the work Chief. I'll be looking forward for the mail next week. It was a long road, but I'm sure everyone will love them. (y)

kodeski, no they aren't free. They are $5 and available by clicking here. The cost covers the decal and the rest goes to cover club costs.

Chief, do we members have access to the high-res artwork or are you guys protecting that? Just wondering as it would make for good Windows wallpaper.

The artwork used was photo ready glossy - sooo there is no high res image to provide (however that gives me another idea on the wallpaper department though).

UPDATE:

I have the decals in my Avalanche right now. They look great - I'm still not 100% happy with the die cut - but they are perfectly centered - I just chalk it up to the small quantity ordered.

So here is the deal - those folks who wrote me checks - they are getting deposited today.

Envelopes will get stuffed tonight and if all goes well I hit the post office tomorrow - so I would say my Friday next week all who have ordered by today should have their decals. Because of the large number of orders if you did multiple orders you will probably get multiple packages - I just don't have the time to track and trace the names and addresses and stuff them together - so if you ordered 2 and then ordered 2 more don't panic if just 2 show up - 2 more will be coming in a seperate package.

BTW - if you want your own Avalanche club decal you can buy them my visiting Fun Stuff on the site. They are $5 each and that includes shipping - the profits go to support the club (site operating costs are running close to $300 a month now).

I seem to remember a poll about where the best place to put the decals would be. Anyone remember the verdict?

All decals have been mailed off today via standard postage, including those who wrote checks. All checks were deposited today. Wells Fargo checks were presented immediately, all others will be presented on Tuesday.

Thanks to all for your patience...

RADAggie, I started the poll a while back when we were waiting for the decals. Out of 31 responses, 58% said that the rear window, driver's side was the play. Second place (16%)said rear window, center. Third and fouth were close (13% & 10% respectively) were rear passenger window, and rear window passenger side. Where people will put them seems to have a lot to do with if you already have stickers on your rear window. (required parking stickers etc.) Some people have a point that it's herd to see the rear window, but most people, myself included, want to retain a clean look on the side and back. I have only one sticker which is on my rear bumper. It is an off road permit and that is where it was required to be. No sticker, no off roading so I'll allow it for a few months. >:D My club decal will be proudly displayed on my rear window.

My driver side rear would be a good idea...it would not obstruct my view....and would identify nicely....as a side note I finally got around to getting rid of the dealer sticker off my tailgate...it was rather easy seeing how the sun was beating on it for the majority of the day...they came right off.... :B:

The club stickers are awesome!
Received mine in mail today.

As a member of the USPS (hold all comments please ) I am glad to see my fellow workers deliver with such speed for a mere .34 cents. Are we sure that we want them on the left rear window? kinda hard to see from that spot unless your directly behind it.

That is why I was thinking of placing mine on the sail panels. Just not sure how well they'll hold up in that location.

Woohoo, they got to South Carolina today too! Now where to put em? ??? I like the idea of the back glass, you just can't see it from the side.
