Ladies and Gentlmen, boys & girls, children of all ages.... I pose this question to you all.

When are we going to have another really BIG regional GTG? I think after the success of the NF GTG, we could muster some kinda event to try and top the attendance record set this year. I'm thinking sometime this fall might be a good time, just not Oct 9-18th, since I'll be on a cruise then ;) ;D. We've already had 2 really good and big regional GTGs, PF and STI, so lets see if we can get one more!

If anyone has any suggestions or has been secretly planning to take over the world.....or just secretly planning a massive GTG, please speak up. >:D

We were discussing this same exact thing this past weekend at the Crystal River GTG in Florida...

I can tell you this...I will be the GTG of all GTG's...The only thing I'll share at this point is Cherokee, NC.

Now, let you imaginations run wild...More information to follow.

ok, but only if its NOT while I am on my cruise ;) cuz that would suck :(

Cherokee sounds like trouble. All that is there is the Casino. Its also really close to PF. Not that it is a bad thing.

Charlie

Mmmm....there's this great BBQ place near there.
If only I could remember its name . . . and where it was.

EDIT: OK, I remember the name: Carolina Smokehouse, but its farther that I thought about 45mi

Hmmmm? Make the Cherokee GTG a Regional? I'll bet we could get 150 Avs together for that.

I'm in. Who's with me?

Joe
Waiver: By "I'm in" I mean "I'm in and will be there with the one condition that this isn't one of those "dry" bible belt areas where beer is not allowed". If that's the case, I won't be there. ;)

HUmmmmmmm ! ??? :-X ;D >:D

Hangman,

DO it and I'm there brother ! ! we got your six - - Sounds like a good time the "RES"

Can you imagine the group photo on this with the fall colors for back drop.

That means you have to get a bumper flag >:D, I have work on the new flag set up and I get a different flag the occassion. :A

Yes Joe is right it is Pigeon Forge. A couple people will remember the Ranger's Office where we asked for a local 4 Wheeling place was technically in Cherokee.

You know what would be cooler that a picture of 150 AVs near color changing leaves. Sitting in front of the Biltmore House. We have talked of doing a Biltmore trips but it has never really materialized.

Charlie

I did break my AV. A drive that took 4 hours on Friday took 6 on Sunday. I swear that is where I developed some of the rattles in my truck. Rule #1. There has to be a powerwasher place nearby.

People tend to get mad when someone is doing 15 Less than the posted speed limit.

Rich are there any pictures out there from your last GTG?

Charlie

Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg would be great. Plenty for wife and kids to do also. Not that expensive in the Fall. (y)

PF?

"I'll take "Pigeon Forge" for $100 Alex".

Just guessing.

Joe

only broken until you got the mud off, right? Rattles are a fact of life with Chevys :cautious: I'm starting to get some, too.

If you are talking about the GTG @ Crystal River, there are some pics here. I didn't make much of a showing at this one, and didn't take any pics like I usually do, but others did (y)

I propose either the last weekend in Oct of the first weekend in Nov. I have to work all the weekends in Oct. We don't want to go tofar into Nov with Xmas right around the bend.
Just a sugestion.

Les

Would LOVE to attend this with ya'll. But between the moving and our first child to be born in the last week of Oct. It don't lookl to doable. :C: :C: :C: :C:

I'm thinking ya gotta go with the changing of the leaves..after being in Asheville (which is bout 40mins away from cherokee) you come to appreciate the mountains when fall comes. Either way I'm still in :)

Adam

Seriously though, lets see if we can get some concensous around the date so folks can get at least a pencil mark on their calendars (y)
