Hello, my third brake light stopped working after I installed my trailer brake controller. Weird thing is. Upon pushing brake pedal the brake lights on the back work fine, just not the third brake light. Other weird thing is that if I manually engage the trailer brake controller the third brake light is the only one that comes on. Also I believe when this started happening the brake controller also doesn't automatically engage now.

General diagnostic work would be if the problem started when you did something then undo what you did and see if things return to normal.
Just a guess but assume you tapped into a line that was incorrect....
