How about it JP Customs, how about another sale on the instrument clusters. :0: They would make a great early Christmas presant. :D

How about th LOF?

My buddy saw mine and wants one for his Expedition. There is just no accounting for taste. (He could have got a Tahoe or a Suburban).

Jason has a lot of cool stuff on his site and if he is not to shellshocked from the last one, hopefully he can oblige.

TByrne has some things from my wish list. The Granatelli MAF and a TB Spacer come to mind. I'll table the Supercharger for the EXT once I rack up enough GM Card points.

HHmmmmmmm, a group buy huh?

Maybe we could call it a "Pre-Christmas Group Buy" or something like that?

Hmmmm, I have been eyeing the Silverado SS cluster for some time.....

Main reason I have not bought one already, is I cannot locate anyone local who will transfer the mileage.

If you call around to any of your local GM dealers, they should be able to tell you where THEY get their instument clusters repaired and/or updated. They have to use someone, and it should not be a huge secret.

My Pontiac dealer gave me the information here in Phoenix, and it was only $35 to have the mileage and hours transferred from the original to the new cluster.

Heck, if need be, you can send it to me, and I can get it done for you.

I tried that route. They mentioned they send them out west (think it was California). They did not give much detail and did not seem to want to discuss it.

The difficult part for me right now is, my Av is my only transportation at the moment. So it would be hard for me to send out my stock cluster and not drive anywhere. I want it to be accurate, so I cannot guesstimate.

NIghtshark, ON a non-related topic: did you get to keep your 20's after? Hope you got things worked out with the ex!!! Take it easy brO!! (y)

Yup, still got them, and I think I will be keeping them! ;D

Plus they look soooooooo damn good. (y)

Did you ever get new wheels after that shipping fiasco?

Sorry to take this off-topic again... :-X

By typing "instrument cluster repair" into a search engine, I came up with a few potential companies:

Southern Electronics Inc.

Mr. Whizard Technical Services

D And M Restoration

L/A Music Factory (not locatred in CA.)

I would hope that one service associate/manager, form all of the surrounding car dealerships, would be able to tell you some place closer than California, where they each have cluster data transferred/updated.

Sounds like your current dealer doesn't know their eyes from their elbows.

Oh, which ever route you go, unless you can get the dealer to call it in for you, you would have to have both the old and the new cluster at the facility, before they would transfer the data to the new one.

Good luck.

So, how about that group buy ?? Looking good or not?? Is mod is coming up close in my wish list of mods! No pressure Jason, just wondering. I am ran into a guy at a stoplight the other day who wanted to know where my line of fire came from - I sent him over to your website and invited him to join the club - He said that it was a very noticable addition to the AV - he claimed he actually followed me for 20 miles trying to get my attention to see where it came from. Hopefully it made a purchase for you!

Okay, I'll put up a last minute GP right before X-mas. Our inventory is pretty limited on the instrument clusters right now, so it may be difficult to get everyone a cluster before X-mas, but one last GP before the new year.

Check out the sponsored area for details.
