I am sure this question has been asked numerous times before but i am unable to get a specific answer from the search function. SO, i am asking again. please forgive me.

2003 Cladded AV.
Cranked ford keys (the worked in a pinch) - middle of the road not cranked full up.
H2 coil springs in the rear (about 3 inch lift from what i can tell without shocks installed - shocks on order... waiting patiently)

so i want to install some All Terrains that do not look like street tires. something more of a goodyear wrangler AT/MT if that makes sense? they are going on 17x8.5 with +0mm backspace. the SHOULD fit nearly flush with the body, not sucked in like stock and not poking out spraying the body with road grime.

anyhow, looking for tire recommendation that will fit nicely without the need to trim plastic bumper cover or cladding on fenders.

I was thinking that i wanted something like 305/70r17 or 33x10.50r17 but afraid to spend the big bucks on tires that wont fit. you know that whole, once they roll they cant be returned thing is kinda a backside biter.

if you have any recommendation please share. if you have photos please please share. I am a visuals kinda guy which is why i am having probs with visualizing a set of tires i cant actually see, if you know what i mean.

thanks in advance,

-Izzy

Although mines a 2500... This is what a AV with Goodyear MT/R 305/70r17's looks like with a 6 inch lift.. They do rub the rear edge of fender a little when making sharp turns into a driveway for a few thousand miles when new but do cause any issues.

My 2500 was nose down and I hated that look so I installed the lift which raised the rear 3 1/2 inches measured at the fender lip and 9 inches in the front (yes 9 inches) measured at the fender lip also. The height of the tailgate in the down position was only 2 1/2 inches higher than stock because as the front went up to level it out, the body pivoted on the rear axle and the tailgate went down so loading the bed did not change much.

Anyway the is what an AV looks like with 305/70r17's, the Goodyear MT/R's are 34.10 inches tall...
