I just got back from the bank, about a 6 block round trip. I saw two Av's during the trip. Does anyone else find him or herself almost wishing that there weren't so many Av's driving around?

Don't get me wrong. It's a great vehicle so obviously people are going to buy them, and I wish everyone could know the pride/satisfaction of Av ownership. It just that it is so much darn fun to watch the reaction of people that have never seen an Av "up close and personal" before and I guess I'm not quite ready for that to end.

I have noticed that too!. If there were 100,000 Avs sold in 2002, then Houston must have 1/3 of them. They are everywhere! :B:

Where I work, I was the first to get an AV. Now there are 3 in the parking lot. I MUST TAG THEM!!! >:D >:D

It's not too bad here in the sticks of the Jersey pinelands yet. There's one about 2 and a half miles from me and one other one that I see around periodically but that's it. Well, except for the white EXT I saw the other day.

At least I'm the only blue one. :B:

I agree, thats why I must mod!!!!

There's another Blue one up in Union County!!! ;D

I also frequent the TomsRiver area too..

I beleive I am the 8th Av in McPherson County Kansas, I think I am the only Black one. But since I have bought one, I am seeing them everywhere now too. Went to the Air show in Wichita and saw about 10 of them that day. I parked just across the row from one of them.
But, it is ONLY going to get worse. These puppies are HOT and you will be seeing more people driving them

I second that. There's a bunch of them around here too, but none that look like mine. ;D ;D ;D

Well feel free to holiday down under. ?There is only one in the entire country that I know of, I know there is another sitting in Dallas waiting to be shipped for the lucky owner. ?Motocross and I will hopefully make the total 4 by Christmas. ?But still 4 units in a country that is almost the same size as the USA (actually the USA is 18% larger but our mainland is about the same size as your main 48 states) would mean that there would be one avalanche per 1,928,340 square kilometres. ?

Its bad here. The town I live in is 1 square mile, population of 6500.
7 Avalanches, 2 Caddy EXT.
My only saving grace is that I was the second Av, the first only beat me out by 3 days and I have the most mods.
These trucks really took off in the Metro NY area

Man Skidd, you're going to be the talk of the town/continent when you get yours, wish I could be there!!

The wife and I are hoping to be there in a year or two so we'll be sure to look you up, can' wait!!

I'm noticing a bunch in SoCal as well. I love having the only one in the neighborhood but that's changing fast.

BTW have you noticed the new Silverarado's have the same front as our beloved Av's?

I got to admit it looks good but the selfesh side of of me wishes they woud leave the Av alone for use dihard owners.

I saw 7 av's today as I was on vacation just bumming around town. I tried to stop 3 of them in Parking Lots, or other gas stations- NONE of them were freindly? What give. I have not met one Av driver here in North Ohio (sorry if I burn anyone) that I would want to cruz with- anywhere. Some of these folks are just plain up RUDE.
I stopped and try to initiate a conversation- say at a gas station with an opener: How do you like your Av? It's Okay I get or love it. I try and tell them about our club and it's FREE membership and I get cross eyed looks-
Unless I now see an AV with Amber or colored DRL or really modded out- Screw them.....
I think people who just need transportation sould buy FORD, or worse- dodge?
Leave the Cheverolet's to us true lovers in the world...
Peace and happy modding

The conditions for you guys to visit have been good for a while now... your dollar will almost get you 2 Aussie dollars. :)

Hey Joe, have you noticed there are about 3-4 of them at work? That includes both of ours but still pretty amazing don't you think?

New to the website but me and my Av just shared our one year anniversary (9/3/01) (y) Here in FL we had a head start on the rest of the US, and in the beginning every time I'd see an AV on the road I would wave to them if they were not already waving to me. No More. Some of the 'Other' AV owners are down right snobbish :-X So much for southern hospitality!

There are definetly a lot more AVs out there now than there were a few a months ago. I was leaving work last week and counted 4 just in our parking lot. We only have about 150 cars in our entire lot. I don't think I could find 4 of the same model and year Honda in that parking lot, there were 4 AVs. ???

But I must say in all honesty, mine was by far the best looking AV. All those little mods give it the edge!!! It is so hard to tell if an AV owner is a nut like me about my truck or just a passive owner.

Truckman :B:

There are ten people where I work and 2 have Avs counting mine - I belong to the club and he does not - I mod and he does not. Everyone thinks mine looks beter. I also see about 8 around town in Katy during the day and none of them mod. Texans seem to love these things. (We have great taste) :B:

Haven't seen too many in the Great State of WV
They are slowly creeping into the state, mine is one of the oldest, and when I first got it I must have given plenty of people whiplash with those quick head turns..but like any new thing the questions and glares have calmed down "a little" but I do see some people wide eyed (especially since I put on the Flownaster 40) :B:

I live in North Jersey and I don't see too many on the road. ?I got real excited when I pulled up next to a Pewter Z71 just like mine.We gave each other the BIG thumbs up and I told him about the club. Hopefully he will check us out. I can't wait to spot some amber DRLs coming at me. I live in Union County (RRguyNJ) but my Av is not blue (almost was).
Screamin' ?

Thanks for the responses, all. (y) I was feeling like I was the only one who wanted that "unique truck" thing to last longer.

While driving home from work tonight in my other vehicle (about a mile drive; I know, the commute can be terrible at that distance ;)) I saw another Av. It was black like mine and I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't the wife.

I do have to say that I'm the only Av in my small town with amber DRL's so I'm pretty sure that my truck's mods are better than the other Av's I've seen (thanks to this web site and Chief). I keep a club brochure in both my vehicles so if I ever get the chance I'll tag the others.

Hey just got back from Whistler, B.C. and saw 4 of them up there! It was kewl....

Here is a picture of the one parked out front from Seattle! He now knows of our Club!!!

At last count seven different AV's now take up spaces at work. 8 Months ago it was 2. I can not drive home with out seeing four to five on the road, about a 20 mile trip one way. In town I now see over a dozen. The local Chevy dealer has done well with them. Lots of custom rigs on the road.

Maybe it's time to trade it in for something different?
