After much research, I picked up my new 2002 Av last Saturday. It's Onyx Black, Z-71, graphite interior, stainless tubular side steps, bug deflector. Couldn't resist the 0% financing for 60 mos.

Thanks to all who posted great information here. It really helped me in making my decision. In fact, I was so impressed with what I read about Zaino that I purchased some before I even picked up my vehicle. I'm planning on applying it in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will help me keep the Av clean.

I'm a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder (I know, you don't have to say it) and I'm really looking forward to making my trips up to Orchard Park in the Avalanche. It's one sweet ride!

I saw that everyone like to see pictures. Go here:

PS: The Bills logo on the truck is only a magnet...it will be there for my football road trips.

Congratulations on your new truck, you're sure to love it.

Kind of a long trip to watch a Bills game, must be a die-hard fan. If you come up for a game, look up MrBill and myself, we're both in the area.

Also, have you seen the OH/PA/WV GTG thread? Check it out, might not be too far from you.

Yeah, it's kind of a long trip up to Orchard Park (3 hours, one way), but it's a very nice, scenic drive. The trip between DuBois, Pa. and Orchard Park, NY on US219 is great....especially in the fall when the leaves change.

Congrat's on the new truck and the great financing. I thought I'd done well with 0% / 3 years! This way, it leaves you more $$$ for mods!

Lieutenant5....You've picked up a beautiful ride... and the Bills picked up a fine new QB for this season. You might have to keep that Bills logo on the AV well into the playoffs.

Hopefully the Bills will make it to the playoffs this year and hopefully the weather will cooperate, too. Had no problems getting back and forth for games last year....however, I believe it was one week after the Bills last home game that the Buffalo area got 7 feet of snow!! We'll see what happens.

C'mon, you got the Z-71! You're gonna let a little dusting of snow get to you? Hopefully, the weather will cooperate, and you'll have some good snow to play in. Your Av will love it!

7 feet, that would be the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. The same week the dealer was snowed in and I was waiting for my truck to be delivered. All that snow and I couldn't play in it with my new truck! :8:

The only time I had any trouble at all last year getting back and forth to a game was on October 7th, 2001. On the way back from the game I had to drive through a freakin' blizzard between Springville and Elicottville....what a mess!! Total whiteout conditions and the roads were completely covered with snow......on October 7th!!! I couldn't believe what was happening and I though for sure that I'd be trying to sell off the tickets I had for November and December games. I agree, the new AV should help out a lot with snowy travel, but the biggest, baddest truck in the world won't help you too much if you can't even see the road!

Roads? We don't need no stinkin' roads! >:D

Congrats, you will not regret your purchase. I have had mine for just over a week....

Welcome, you make a wise decision. Now, Amber DRLs.

Well
Glad to see another BILLS Fan.
Well hope you can join us on a winter cruise when we set it up.

MrBill

Thanks to everyone.

Mr. Bill....it appears as though we have more in common than just the Bills and the Avalanche....I was checking out your website. I'm a Lieutenant in my city's fire department and I also do computer work for a living....small world.

Congrats on your new av Lieutenant5...

Nice to see that your true feelings came thru w/ your choice of colors (Black & silver/grey), you were wise to use magnets for those Bills logos, so when you come to realize that your real loyalty lies w/ the Raiders you can make permanant mods. >:D
(here's my Av) http://www.boomhauer.net:81/pics3/Camera/Truck26.JPG & http://www.boomhauer.net:81/pics3/Camera/Truck27.JPG

Seriously though... I grew up in that part of the country, and I know what its like to drive on the 219 in white out conditions... your one loyal sumbitch to drive 3+hours to attend games (especially last year!).

I have to admit, the first Raider game I saw in person was against the bills in '93. Was awesome... froze my a$$ off but it was worth it... Raiders won by 2 with a late int to seal the win. Do they still play that annoying "shout" song at the games? :D:

Let me guess, your a bills fan.
Nice truck,but
-take the bills de-kell off the doors, leave the 1 on the front and back.
-You should block out your lic. plate,so know gets your info.
congrats on your new life style.
:love:my :B:AV2
