how do you remove the front tow hook pockets

I've never removed them and will have to check if there's anything specific in the service manual, but they're held in by clips.

what kind of clips, are they separate from the pocket !

The clips themselves should be part of the bumper assembly the pocket fits into. From the backside of the bumper you should see the plastic pieces that are popped through the pocket's holes. Should be a matter of pushing each of them to pop out the pocket. Just curious, how come you need to remove it?
