A bunh of people have painted them with some good success.

I think Spectron painted his bright red last year. It looked really sharp with the other red accents on his truck. I may do this myself, since the black hooks really seem to be lost on my truck ever since I put on the brush guard. The black brush guard brackets make it so dark down there, that the hooks just dissapear.

GoldBowTie recently painted his to match the '02 grey cladding. It's a nice low-key touch. You would think that it would hide them, but it makes them stand out more since they aren't lost in the dark anymore.

I think there were others who painted them with chrome or aluminum paint. They look good, but getting them really chromed is even better.

Then there are a few who have removed the tow hooks altogether, and placed rectangular fog or driving lights in the openings. That looks really sharp.

There are a lot of possabilities.

same here. she did two sets for me. the one set i have used are holding up very well so far. it's been over a year i believe since they have been mounted.

Took 'em off, painted them with two coats of gold, followed with two coats of clearcoat. Looks bangin'. Very easy, inexpensive to do. (y)

There are some chrome ones for sale on ebay if you're interested in chrome.

You could get something like this and Chrome what ever you want right at home... (y)

Go with some 3/4" Shackles and an SOR Bumper >:D.
Just kidding, the chrome tow hooks should look good.

I just painted mine victory red to go with my LPM. Started with a base of silver (wanted to see what they'd look like and figured it'd make a good base coat when i confirmed that i wanted red) Then put 3 coats of red and 3 coats of clear coat. They look DANG good, and as soon as I get the old ones off (another thread all together) I'll have pictures
