Question about what preferences you guys have.

It seem that the towel dry for me works about the best, but I dont own a good chamois.

Anyone tried the "air dry" products out there?

Thanks,

G.

Microfiber towel. If you want to do it really easily, use an electric leaf blower to blow most of the water off first. It works great for getting water out of the mirrors.

A gas blower would be easier to use but most of them cycle the exhaust through the air tube.

I used to use a chamois, but switched to a microfiber ?(y) ? I should have done it long ago.

When you guys say microfiber towel - are these like bath towels or something I would get at a parts store?

Thanks,

G.

I use a standard towel size.  Got it from Target in the auto section and it's an orange color.  They have all kinds of microfiber towel accessories.  I also picked up a microfiber sponge.

my parent's neighbor uses an electric leaf blower for his Harley and his H3.

A fake chamois to get her mostly dry... then the microfiber  towels (I have a bunch) to polish the wax thats already on there, or to wax and polish.

Welcome ghawk4...
nice to see a Caddy hangin with us!

Bad Dad

Don't bother with the "Mr. Clean" no dry system!!!!  I tried it and got my money back......  It left water streaks.

I also use microfiber towels...bought mine at Costco.

wow....

you guys dry your trucks?? ? :E: :E:? ? :kidding:

chamois and microfiber here

"California water blade"is a great tool to have too

Microfiber towel with a foam sponge inside.  Very thin thingy.  Works great and you can squeeze the water out when it starts to get full.

I always start with the California water blade then finish with the microfiber towel

Water rinse with laminar flow so it flows off as much as possible...

then MF towel

I like the Meguiars water magnet..Basically a micro fiber towel with a waffle texture

I use a good spong, then rinse, then Bounty towels to wipe up large wet areas, then finish off with a microfiber towel.  I don't wax my truck, had  Diamond Shine buffed into my paint, it shines like diamonds and lasts a whole year.  :B:

Chamois & Microfiber.

Gonna have to look into this Diamond Shine...Since diamonds are my best friends...and it last a whole year too? Sweet!?

microfiber - even after it rains. if its been waxed recently, i wipe it down with microfiber. once dried, it looks look a newly waxed avy.
