Hey all, first I would like to say thanks for having me on the site , just joined today. I have a 07 we bought new and recently purchased a 7’x14’ tandem axel enclosed trailer to haul two Harley Softails in. I had also just put a new set of BFG Ko2’s 275/55/R20’s on as well, D rated. I’m getting ready to head out on a long trip from NC up through the New England states. From the few threads I could find it seems I shouldn’t have any concerns, but I would really appreciate any tips or advice from someone who has maybe shared this type of experience. I. Put 62psi in the rear tires, and basically after any other advice I can grab .. thanks in advance!

I know im a little late but Welcome! I guess im not sure why you would over fill your tires by that much. no matter what i tow i keep the tires at a stock psi. if i fill them any extra its only 5-10 psi.

Again since poster was last on Sept 18, 2021 and only made this post i bet his trip is over and has not been on since.
I do agree with you Swampdog02 in that there is no need to inflate to near maximum pressure unless you have severely loaded the AV bed or have a badly loaded trailer with severe tongue weight. If the trailer is the issue I would try to re-balance the trailer. D rated tires can take higher pressures though.

alright i guess i need to see if they have been active recently before I reply. whats up with everyone posting then leaving?

I guess some people don't use this site as a social platform more just for problem solving. So if they get an answer or no replies they don't come back....

:)

It all depends on what you are towing. If you have a lot of weight on the rear you should air up the tires to get the treads to run flat or they may overheat. But never ever go over the max PSI of the tire.

Or start a new thread in appropriate section as I think more of the current active membership will read and reply.
Some just do not read older threads started last year or so.

Members come and go they own and sell their avy.
aSome stay even being avy-less.
like any website/forum/social club - people are human and get bored so they leave..

My guess is; currently the activity is now high enough to keep peopls's attention span going.

ITs an ADHD world it seems (No offense who really have ADHD) and peeps have to keep busy on theior phone.
This site is meant to be used from computer - Heck I think we started before I-phone did? 2002?

In the beginning we would have over 500 posts a day during prime years we would have between 1k and 2k.
NEw threads would be in the hundreds...
Gtg every other week from 2 to 200 members3

Now this kept people around...
Today not so much - no new avys so new members are first time used car buyers and not all avys get sold back into market..
Some get crushed or wrecked or totaled
