hello to all i recently did a 4L60E to 4L80E swap also deleted my rear transfer case. The ecm and tcm have both been progarmed but im having issues still which seem to be electronic and not mechanical with the transmission. I believe it could have something to do with the bcm. Let me explain when i take my shift cable off the transmission and i manually select through the gears the dash range selector will only read P 3 2 1. When i put rhe shift cable back on it will only read P 2. There is nothing wrong with my instrument cluster. But yet when i had this transmission installed it no longer shows for R N D 1. Nor does it feel like its taking off from 1 while its in what seems to be drive. I have been at this for sometime now and i know swaps are common could it have something to do with the transfer case.

Humm never heard anyone doing that combo, what year do you have a 07 or 08

Sounds like someone didn't reprogram your transmission controller with the proper program. Or the wires were not switched around right on the transmission.

So initially that was the issue these two crap shops screwed me over. I had to repin the harness back to stock and have Lsx power tune the tcm, which they did came out great but it still needs to be fine tuned to dail everything in. I have been also dealing with a selector cable issue which has turned out to be a challenge

No wonder so many mechanic shops have closed in recent years.
No one seems to know how to fix anything anymore.
They are simply armed to the teeth with parts shotgunners and flush machine jockeys.
A shame really.
Starting to think finding a unicorn is easier than a good mechanic shop.
Anyway, good luck with it...and don't go cutting and welding the pawl.
:B:
