Trips Home Made Cold Air Mod?

Haven't heard from anyone yet so I hoguht I'd post my question outright. Has anyone out there done his mod? if so, did you plug up any of the factory inlets or just leave them open. I really want to try his mod out but am still trying to figure out if the factory inlets need to be plugged or left alone?

I don't think that anyone's plugged the stock inlets and posted about it. I don't think it's necessary. HTH

Thanx Setemflush, I'll be heading to Home Doopot tomorrow to pick up the parts. Nice rig looks just like mine. '02 stock Z-71 AV, of course with the voo-doo 0-60 3 times mod! Any more idears on CHEAP performance mods? Got to put food on the table for the wife and kids.

Went to home DooPot today and got the parts to do the install. Had to buy the 4" hole saw and arbor for it which sux cuz I'll never use the darn thing again. I lke the idea of painting it and returning it though. Install took about 45 min. as the temp in teh garage today was about 15 degrees! I think I've frozen my LUGNUTS off! Will head out later to test it out along with the Voo-Doo 0-60 3x mod.

keep the 4" saw....ya never know when you will need to run dryer vent hose.....I did a few weekends ago...heheh
