Turn signal housing fell off

Driving to LAX at night our turn signal housing popped off and was hanging by the cords.  Fortunately it hadn't completely fallen off by the time we parked.  When we got back to the truck a week later after our trip, we used band-aids to hold it in place for the 15 mile drive home from LAX.  Turns out the plastic tab that snaps in and holds the housing broke off.  We drilled a couple holes in the back of the housing so we could run a tie wrap through it and hold it in place.  Perhaps not the greatest solution but it works.

Bandaids? That's awesome! Your new nickname is Macgyver!

Yep, common problem.  This is how I had to keep mine in when it fell our 1,500 miles from home.  I bought new ones in 2016 and both tabs broke already last year.  I have now used the zip tie approach since new ones will obviously fail in short order.

I owned my 02 for almost 14 years. One tab failed in my last year of ownership and yep, I used the ziptie method to secure it in place.
