I have the Pioneer AVIC90DVD and was wondering if anyone has installed a TV Tuner to their video system.

If so, was it worth it? What kind of quality is the reception? etc?

Not sure about this one AV rookie. I do know that a alot of truck drivers have satellite dishes in their eighteen-wheelers. If thats something you may be interested in, if you can't find an AV owner, ask some truck drivers around a truck stop or something. You'd be surprised with the technical knowledge. But as far as tv tuners go. I'm not real sure. I wish you luck with your search though.

;)I have the Kenwood KVT911DVD it has the TV Tuner. It all depends were you are some times
you get great picture some times you don't. I live close to NYC and with what happened last year tv has not been as good. it's just like old tv's Before cable. Just use the dvd player for now.It still works the best. And listen to XM or Sirius. You can't go wrong.

Just like enkeia says it depend on the area you are in. I find it works best when your parked or traveling in an open area, and not so well on tree lined highways or in the city. You have to remember it's like driving a big rotor-antenna your reception is going to change as you change direction.

I have a Pioneer P6400CD with a TV tuner, the installer chose not the use the give me antenna and installed a Accele TVA40AS single amplified antenna, can't tell you if this is any better since I have nothing to compare it to.

Over all I am happy with the reception, it is what it is.

I have got an Audiovox TV/monitor. It works pretty well. The higher frequency channels (UHF) come in better than VHF, but that is to be expected.
