Twin Turbo AV

How close are you to having it done.

Very close, few minor details.  Hopefully we can turn it on by the end of the week.

The progress is awesome, when you're done could you post your parts list and sources? I'm looking at something like this too.

Tomorrow I'm hitting the salvage yards for an ecm from an 09.

If you don't have any luck call Nelson Performance. I bought a replacement from them, programmed to my truck and calibration, for $75.

Holy smokes, a 127 injector.

You have to take it to the track, you and DrX.  (y)

What have you done to the rest of the drivetrain to handle the increase in power?

It has a 4l80 rated for 1000hp and ths diff is 14 bolt with the g80. I don't know if the g80 will hold. The aluminum driveshaft will be replaced by a steel one.

The critical speed of the heavy steel driveshaft at the required length(around 70") will limit your max RPM:

I am running a 5" aluminum.

Wouldn't trust the G80. I am running a Truetrac, but even that is only rated for 500hp. Noticed twisted splines on 1 axle, so I pulled apart the Truetrac to check it out and everything looked good. Replaced the axle and good to go.

I need to check if the 5 inch won't rub anywhere since the av is lowered.  I was debating on the truetrac but seems like I'll be needing it. Thanks Drx

X2 nicely done.  (y)

The tuner has been having trouble tunning the av. We are thinking it's the intake it has. A no name aftermarket intake that was laying around in the shop. It will be switched to the stock intake or a holley hi ram intake.

Don't know about the intake but when I saw you were using 127# injectors I wondered if those would be a problem to tune ...
