Hi everyone,
I will make it quick and short for future searchers!
vehicle information:
Year: 2012
Maker: Chevrolet
Model: Avalanche
Trim Level: LTZ (LC9, 4X4, rear camera, rear suspension, and trailer brake asst.)
Miles: 98k miles
* No accessories. No "Range" devise.
The vehicle suffers from these existing problems:
- P0449 - 00 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) vent Solenoid Control Circuit.
- C0711-00 Level Control Air Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction.
In the attempt to fixing these existing problems, Starting with the EVAP. I found out it was a bad electric connector. So I cut the old one and replaced it with a new one from amazon.

The new wire does not follow the GM's wire color code.
the aftermarket wire uses this wire color code:
the Blue is +/positive
the Red is -/ground
GM wire color code is:
the Red is +/positive
the Black is -/ground
I did NOT notice the wire color code is different, thinking aftermarket's blue is equivalent to GM's black, which is the -/ground.
I hooked up the new fixed mixed colored electric connector to the new EVAP solenoid (located behind the spare tire) and turned on/started the truck.
New issues and warnings showed up in the small information screen in the dash speedometer, plus all kinds of yellowish lights warnings:
- PARK ASSIST OFF
- SERVICE STABILITRAK = OFF
- SERVICE TRACKTION CONTOL
Also, I noticed more issues such as:
- Hard gear shifting.
- Rear camera is not working.
The indication line showing which gear is engaged in the transmission's information screen does not indicate the line!
- Rough idling. RPM is jumping up and down.
Scanner tools shows ( CanDo C Pro Bi-Directional Scan):
- U0101 - 71 lost communication with TCM invalid data.
- U0101- 00 lost communication with transmission control module TCM.
I hooked my BlueDrive OBD II reader, and it gives me the same code readings.
I fixed the wire electric connector and tried both scanner tools to delete/erase the codes, and it didn't work. And I still have the EVAP issue too.
What to do?
