Just read this today in from a Netscape news article where some reporter gave his opinion on the 10 ugliest vehicles of 2003.

Chevy Avalanche: An involuntary upward surge of stomach contents (an "avalanche" of another sort) often accompanies a first-time encounter with this 4x4 Frankenstein. All that's missing are electrodes on the plastic-covered quarter panels. "Ugly" doesn't begin to get into it.


I think my AV is the most gorgeous truck on the road!!!!

I happen to like Volvo wagons, and I'm not even 30 yet :-[
 
That was pretty slick editing it to say "late 80's" Volvo wagon ;) ;D

My first car was a '79 Volvo sedan (in '91). That may be why I like Volvos.

Truck of the Year. Guess they must pick the ugliest trucks for this award. I get alot more complements than I get yuck ;D

Coming from a Nutscrape news story what does one expect? Let the author continue to think that his Mustang II was one of the best cars on the road.
 
Y-GUY, you killed me on the Nutscrape.........good name for him.
I just got stuck with a Ford Explorer for a company vehicle. How it made to number 1 seller a few years back I'll never figure it out.
Roughest riding vehicle i have ever been in. Checked the tire pressure and it was 35 psi like the tire recommended, but if you read on the door Ford recommends 26psi, i guess trying to soften up the ride and some say caused some of the accidents.
I never get anymore looks at the red lights like i did with the AV, now i am just another guy in the way.....
Yuck, the only good thing is it is all paid for with a gas card......blaghhhhhhhh

Nope. I don't think I could ever settle for being 'just another guy in the way'. ;)

So why DO people buy 'boring' vehicles anyway? (so called top sellers like Explorer, Camry, etc). Is it because they are so cheap? I hate vehicles that just 'blend' with the scenery.
 
I've never had anyone call my AV ugly...a few have tried to accuse me of destroying the environment by owning a "gas-eating, impractical piece of #$%^:; however, I figure they just were having a bad day ;D

:rolleyes: "An involuntary upward surge of stomach contents?" Sounds like someone went off-roading in an old Landcruiser with a hangover! As for beauty, my AV is tops. Mind you, this comes from a guy over 35 who had a re-chipped Lemon Yellow Volvo 850 T5R wagon.
 
You all know the old saying....opinions are like not very nice people....everyone has one!

There are a LOT of Avalanches around here so some of us must have a different opinion!
