Hi friends.
Noob here please be kind :)
I see the autoresponse is call crutchfields, i will, but I do need to get my post count up so....
1st project:
I am interested to bring this truck into the future(well present anyway) with touchscreen, nav, android auto, bluetooth, usb ports(in unused accesory panels), etc... while keeping CD, rear video(wouldnt mind upgrading this as well), sat, onstar, and steering wheel controls(need to fix backlights too) and all functionality(chimes?) that is somehow associated with a/v. It has the Bose, sounds ok but could use a subwoofer. Backup camera add would be good too, as you all surely know rear visibility is bad.
Would be interested to hear about your installs, what mods you had to do(i havent found the head unit bracket mod video yet) replacement plastics (inc aux/usb). Any direct response or direction to existing threads appreciated!
Thanks!

Welcome to the website,
I know this site has a large amount of boards and info but once you look around awhile on the home page you can see that each topic is talked about in it's appropriate section and the moderators do a great job of trying to keep each thread on topic.
For your questions look here:

Or as you already know just contact Crutchfield and they can help you with customer service to get a complete kit for your upgrade including all wires and adapters etc.

I installed an Alpine iLX-207. In addition I get three cameras, front, side, and rear, as well as a touch screen Truck Accessory Controller which you can control other devices like lighting, winch, etc. All factory operations work except for the rear seat audio headphones (don't need them anyway). The resolution isn't as good as I'd like but having all the other features is an acceptable compromise. I prefer the USB iPhone connection as it is more reliable than wifi (and it keeps the phone charged). I got the iLX and accessories from Crutchfield.
