I have a quick question concerning an enclosure for the Midgate. I currently have an underseat box with 2 10" JL 10W0's run off of a Alpine MPR-M350. I am wondering if the amp is sufficent/ported/unported/if I need to move up to 12" for true increase/if amp can push 2 12"s or 3 10"s.

I listen to mostly rap music but also rock and heavy metal so I like the snapping bass as well as the deep lows that your neighbors hate.

The underseast box is just not cutting it. Needless to say I'm trying to spend the least amount of money while still improving my system with a midgate enclosure.

Looking at getting the kingkong midgate or subthump.

I would go with a larger amp. It only pushes 350W at 1 ohm. Talk to grnxnam about the Subthump box. It sounded pretty good, not sure what subs or amp he's running though.

if you listen to other than rap, youd prob want to go with sealed.. oh and, def upgrade the amp and maybe add another 10 good luck!

I would go with a bigger amp and 2 12's. Grnxnam's subthump box sound real good. Very easy install and nice fit. We did it in the dark and it still didn't take that long. He got the Element designs subs and amp that subthump sells also. I was pretty impressed with the setup.

let me finish my dinner and I'll get all the specs listed and posted.

Question for those who've heard the sbuthump box this weekend.

Is it as good as the JL, as far as build quality and sound?

How about the subs that were used?

Build quality is the same. Sound quality is real close. Hard to judge. As for subs, it had element designs in it. I am not sure of the model number of them. If I didnt already have my homemade midgate I would buy one.
