If you have one, bring it, it won't hurt.

You should not need a passport if you are an American or Canadian citizen and you have two forms of citizenship with at least one of them being an official photo ID (like a driver's license.) If you are a naturalized citizen, you should have a copy of your naturlization papers. If you are not an American or Canadian citizen, you should have a passport (and probably a visa.) All passengers in your vehicle must have proper documentation.

If you are travelling with minor children, you should have a copy of their birth certificates. If you are seperated or divorced, or not travelling with the children's other parent, you should have a letter from that other parent authorizing you to take the children out of the country.

It's generally not a big deal crossing the border, but you do need proper identification. If there is any reason you might have to worry about it (criminal record, improper child custody, improper documentation, etc) it would be a good idea to check with both US and Canadian customs/immigrations authorities before travelling to see if there are any special requirements.

In my personal experience, there are less questions (and shorter lines) entering Canada than entering the US.

But a lot of that depends on so many varaibles, from the appearance and actions of the person(s) crossing, to the mood of the inspector, to just random luck.

Is there any problem flying the American flag in Canada, like crossing the border with Stars and Strips flying or should I wait till after I get in or leave it home

A very good question, and I think one of our Canadian brethern will have to answer that. I don't think there is animosity between the countries, and I don't think you have to be worried about offending anyone, but you never know.

Personally, I'm not about to take off my Stars and Stripes bow tie, but that is a lot more subtle than a large flag flying off the back of a truck.

Any Canadians out there with thier finger on the pulse of the country care to comment?

I would hope that there would be no problem with flying the Yankee flag!! Its just a sign of patriatism!

IF in doubt, fly the Canadian AND U.S. Flags, as a sigh of comraderie especially seeing our event is one of a joint effort between both countries!!

Good morning everyone! I'm so excited for you guys as the time is getting near! It's going to be sooooo much fun! Please post a LOT of pics!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately there is another AV down that has to be removed from the list of attending. John (from NJ) called me last nite & informed me that he had an accident with a deer causing collateral damage. :6:

Please remove him from the registered list. :E:

And judging by the number of those 79 showing their status to be "Complete", which I assume means paid, there are going to be at least 63 Avalanches at the GTG!!!

Yes and we know of a few who are just showing up for Sat and have not registed also .. so we will have over 80 .. I am sure

Don't worry - I'm the king of panoramic shots... If we can actually get all the trucks in area, I'll be able to take a shot of all them!
