V8 ? Emblem Tailgate Add-On?

Couple days ago found on EBAY some real neat
-?V8? - original emblems and got one to be attached on the bottom left sheetmetal of my Av?s Tailgate.
I think the already awesome view of my Black Avy?s behind will be nicely upgraded by a little powerplant pride... :B:
Just wondering, has anyone done this before?
 
The search criteria was.... ?V8 Emblem?
just did the search and came up with
2 or 3 types, most from FORD explorers
however , the plain V8 emblem i got should fit any
make & model nicely specially the mighty Av!!!

Can you imagine the Av with anything BUT a V-8???

I cringe at the thought of propelling a 5700 lb beast with a V-6. Can you say "castrated"?
 
I think that if it was done right that the V 8 emblem would look really nice. I think ideally it should be right after the "Avalanche" on the tailgate cladding. The V 8 would also be part of the cladding. If anyone adds the V8 logo post some pics. I am intersted in seeing how it looks.

If I get a 2500, I'd love to get a 396 emblem (like the ones on Chevelles) remade into a 496 emblem... ;D
 
Be tempting to put a 'Dura-Max' tag on an Av. Then the trick would be to back up the tag with reality!

That looks great! I think that "327" creates a invokes a better image than "5.3L" also!
