today I was drivng down the main steet in town and I see a White 2003 AV then I saw it turn and it had Wallowa County Sheriff on the side and I could see lights in the grill I was going to tagg it but I thought it might not be a good thing to speed to catch up to him :2:

That would be pretty cool to see. Well, he's gotta park sometime.... I wonder if we could get him to tell us how they got around the governor? >:D Probably not, though.

How about a Police AV with lights and sirens leading the cruise all the way to Rapid City????/\

If there was ever a vehicle that would be the ultimate police cruiser....my friends...it would be the AV....seeing one with lights and sirens in your rear view mirror has to be an intimidating sight... :B:

Cool to see someone else get pulled over by the Avalanche. Better to see a high-speed pursuit where the Avalanche chases down a sports car.

And after he pulls him over and finds out that the car is stolen...why call the tow truck...just throw it in the back with the midgate down..... ;D

A feat easily accomplished at your local dealer. They simply re-program the Av's computer module.

We have a Black 2500 in service here in OH as a "police diver" truck. It makes all of the local news clips of police diving for bodies and other evidence of crimes. When you think about it, you couldn't find a more practical vehicle for loading up the wet equipment after a dive.

I have been tempted to write an article for the AV mag on the truck and police divers.

It would be great for the cops here in Mpls. Then they could throw the drunks in the back, instead of their trunks on the cars they use now. A couple of coppers got in some big trouble for doing just that. Guess they didn't want the drunks puking in thier back seats!

The company that installed the strobe lights and siren in my truck are working on another Avalanche with more equipment to use as a demo platform for the city police. I will try to get photographs once it is complete.

I look forward to reading it. Did you get any video caps off of the news? If so, please post them.

This is not the AV I saw but this one is for sale on EBay it is LPM and has a light bar

When I worked for a PD we had the paddy wagon going around picking them up. Easier to hose out at the end of the night... :-X
