My 2002 Avalanche leaks water like a sive in the front driver and passenger floors!
I have sealed with silicone the areas at the front windshield and side top areas of both doors where I think the water is coming in. No luck. Help!!!

Many older threads in this section will help you with info and photos etc......

I to have a 2002 and have the same issues that you have listed. I’ve read most of the past posts on where to look and what to do to fix. I’ve slowed the leaks to a degree but have not eliminated. I can see a trail of water coming in when I pull back drivers side floor mat. I have yet to pin point where it is entering. My next attempt is to spray foam under where the drivers side windshield drain dumps on fender. I think if I can reroute that flow of water I may get a result. I’ll keep you posted.

If water is entering the cabin then some form of weatherstripping or seal has gone bad somewhere.Or a blockage has formed from debris and is re-routing it.

If you can see where it is flowing then i would strongly encourage attempting to trace it, even if you have to get a cheap endoscope camera online to do so. You don't want to accidently dam up the flow of water and have it get stuck inside the body, or have it flow into an electrically sensitive area.

For added food for thought when dealing with front cabin leaks, dont forget to make the distinction between rain water and potential HVAC runoff. Im not certain if the avalanche is prone to the problem, but if the drain for the A/C is blocked or is somehow damage it can cause water to well up and leak inside the cabin.

Do you have a sunroof?? If so check the drain tubes that come down the A an B pillars.. Check youtube for videos..

On my 02 I’ve done all the suggested checks. No blockage in sun roof drains. I actually silicone sealed the sunroof just to eliminate the potential. I sealed all the roof rack bolt holes, cleaned and silicone sealed the sat antenna. I believe I have a void between fender well and firewall. It’s in an area that can’t be accessed with disassembling fender from body. That’s the area I’m going to spray foam to route water away from that area of fender.
