i'm thinking of the module that keeps the radio on for 20 minutes after you turn the truck off or take the key out. what is it called? where can i get it? my dad has a avalanche and i want to put this module in my 93 burban (i'm good with wiring, i can do it!).

RAP = Reserve Accessory Power

TO get this ack on topic....

It is not a module but a part of the Body Control Module....or body computer....and would be a real PIA for your 1993 truck.....

I think if you want something similar add a timer circuit and feed all the things you want.....but have this timer activated when the key is off....

HTH and good luck

There are aftermarket delay timers out there; some have batt voltage shutoff sensors, etc. No doubt one or more would suit your need for the 'burb well.

A site I used changed their focus to other things, so if I see them elsewhere, I'll post it or edit this post. Meanwhile others may find a link or info for you.

you can use 2 spdt relay-----to wire up----20.00 in parts and half hour---need to find door wire, ign wire -and radio acc wire---wire the relay so when no power to truck the relay will support power to radio----next use 2nd relay to turn off first relay when the door opens(make sure when you do this the relays are at rest when not in use-not causing a battery draw on the car--
