What Do You Have In Your Side Compartments?

I keep three different size receivers and some straps on the left and a tow chain, jumper cables, and tire pump in the right. Never know when someone will need my avy to save them.

On one side I keep extra oil and a funnel (rear main seal leak). On the other side, I keep a few tools.

I HAVE yet to cross that bridge yet on what to load up on. Only had it a week.  Being an old retired guy I have too much time to think about those things.
In my Wrangler LJ aside from the lights, brush bar and 9500lb winch on the front...
in back there is ... another winch, a Ramsey Rep 8000 on a cradle(sometimes you need to go backwards)
100ft of synthetic winch rope as a line extender, 4 snatch blocks, chains(about 30 ' worth), tools, 2 different receivers for trailers, a hi-lift jack and a scissor jack, , a machete an ax and a small shovel, about 60' of recovery straps in various lengths, 2 traction mats, and probably more but I am old and can't remember everything.
BTW I took the rear seat out so I could cram all this into the Jeep.

My fear is with ALL THAT ROOM in the Ave that I might do something extreme. ;D ;D ;D

I've used my side compartments to store various things over the years--tools, 12v tire inflator, ratchet straps, and also recreational items such as a frisbee, inline skates, pool cue, etc.    Although it worked well for a while, I don't recommend keeping shoes or skates in them.  They will wear harder over the long term.  I pulled the skates out years ago and wished I would have kept them in the house instead, LOL...

Right Side Storage Bin: Warm gloves, Work gloves, Carabiners, Cord, Webbing, Rope, Tie down webbing straps, Come along, Tow strap, Air compressor, Jumper cables, Volt meter, Hose bandage

Left Side Storage Bin: Ramps, Cable and lock, Water purifier, Mouse trap, Can opener, Emergency candle, Sheet, Towel, Chamois towel, Paper towels, Straw picnic mat,
Basin, Sponge, Rags, Broom w/dustpan, Funnel

Thanks for the idea RKTROY, hadn't thought to carry a voltmeter around with me but I like the idea

We got one for free from Harbor Freight, so we threw it into the truck.

In the drivers side I have tie downs & rope. I’m the passenger side I have everything for towing.

Driver's side: Rope, ratchet straps, recovery straps and church key (bottle opener)
Passenger side: Jumper cables, 6 ton bottle jack, trickle charger and battery booster pack.

Jumper cables, receiver hitch, 7 pin to 4 pin harness adapter, cargo net, tie down straps, tire inflator, paper towels, glass cleaner, quart of oil.

Ratchet straps and tie downs
A large tarp. Jumper cables, I keep the hitch and ball in there. I have a traffic light wand. And a spare multi tool. Also an entrenching tool(militarycollapsible shovel) and a rain coat in a super small stuff sack.

Ratchet straps, bungees, rope. That nifty cover panel net that never ever gets used. Tarp (all terrain creeper). Hitch, jumper cables, tow strap in the passenger side.

Drivers side has Fire Ext/ full med kit, ropes, come along 4000lb and emergency portable lights. Passenger side has tow straps, chains, entry tools, and Reese hitch hook for towing and emergency vest for directing traffic or just not getting hit by car ha-ha..

Silly question, what are the odds one of those old school razor style scooters would fit in one of the bed storage boxes?
Heaven for bid I ever break down and gotta go get some help. Figured it be better than walking. At least for the Mrs.

I'm not sure if the width is big enough. I presume the best thing is to try. Maybe if they went in sideways and had a removable handle.

Drivers side compartment….tie down straps…multimeter…window cleaner…misc items
Passenger side compartment…. Fluids…oil…brake fluid…trans fluid…R134a refrigerant….funnels…

I carry the same items along with a First Aid kit ,12 volt small air compressor, tow rope with jumper cables and the fire extinguisher mod on the driver side lid. Amazing what will fit in the boxes...love my ride.

I have to do that fire extinguisher mount. Too cool. I'll just throw one in for now.

Smart looking kits you have there. The Hi-Vis Vest is a super good idea. I work with a small town emergency management group. And I have the same vest. Not safe to work a accident or even change a tire without one.
