I have a few friends who have an AV with the leather package as do I
They all have different ways of cleaning the leather, one uses pledge furniture cleaner, one uses black magic spray wheel cleaner, another uses ivory soap and or dawn dish soap.

These guys have done nothing but confuse me do I do not us anything.
What do you guys think or use?

I use the detailing section of the site.

Then I'd use a proper leather cleaner and conditioner, none of which are what you've listed from your friends.

Meguiar's one step leather care works great!!  My dad's used this for years on his vetts.  I've used it from the get go on my AV and it has kept the seats looking great.

I use regular Saddle soap on mine just be sure to get it all off. It seems to soften the leather. Just be sure to get all of it off, it can be a little slick.

Man I dont know about your friends..    :E: :E: :beating:

I use good old fashioned saddle soap and a stiff bristle brush once or twice a year, then Meguiar's one step monthly. I get the saddle soap bar at my friendly horse supply place. As mentioned above, if you use saddle soap be sure to get it all off.

:jacked:  How do you get scratches out of the Leather seat.  Being a Dumb a$$$ I jumped into the driver seat with a pair of needle nose sticking out of my back pocket :E:

First....Don't do that.

Second... Replace the seat covering. You can sometimes find the leather covering on Ebay.

Deep scratches can not be repaired.

This all sounds good for the 02-06 trucks.  But my 07 appears to have a different type of leather- going out on a limb it almost appears to be a rubberized or vinyl material with a grain pattern on it.  I'm sure it's related to some sort of surface protection on the leather itself, but if so, should it be cleaned and treated exactly the same as leather-only surfaces, or is there some better method for keeping it up?

Where are you looking?  Remember, you have leather SEATING SURFACES - that means where your butt and back go is leather, everything else is vinyl.

You can use leather dye to hide a scratch.

My '02 sport leather had cloth centers with leather bolsters I think. My '04 has leather seats with vinyl seat bolsters, I think the headrests are vinyl too. The vinyl parts clean easy with countless products

Meguiars gold is the best.  I have been using that for a couple of months and I love it.  Any time I get in the av and I don't slide into the seat, I know its time for a spray down.  I don't have a lot of dirt on me, so it doesn't get on my seats, so I use only for the conditioning of the leather.  Good stuff.  i have also used Zymol, cleaner and cond., that stuff works good, but I can't seem to find it.

Amazon has it...  click

I use Zymol as well but only the conditioner. I never used the all in one product or their cleaner. I never needed the cleaner. Maybe because I have Cover Craft seat savers on all the seats  I wash them once a year (seat savers)and apply conditioner at that time to the leather

Yep.  That's where I've been looking too.

Well I bought me some Meguiars gold.

And HUGZ, you are correct my friends are a but off and hard headed.
I tried getting them to try this Meguiars gold, but they say its too much work.
WHe'll how much work it is when they have to replace their leather.

That's what I use and it's not too much work at all.  Besides, the benefits to take the time and keep it clean will pay off in the long run.  Got over 100k on the AV and the seats look great
