I discovered the other day while my AV was idling that I was getting exhaust from under the truck. Here I have a fairly large cracked in my muffler.
What exactly would this do to the AV? What would be solved by getting a new one now compared to waiting til it needs inspected to have the exhaust done?
Performance? Torque? MPG?
I have noticed my mpg have dip recently with no real reason that I can think of. I used to get 14 city, and now im lucky if I get 12. Nothing has changed in my driving habits so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My inspected is due in Sept, so I have til then to decide what I want to do about the exhaust. I currently have a Flowmaster 50 series on there now. When I get it replaced, trying to decide if I want to stick with the 50 series, or go with the 40 series this time around.
