From what I gather it is a tool. I was told about it when I go to install my alarm.
never heard of that one before

I mean a test light is one tool...ya know a AWL looking tool with clear handle and a wire coming out of end with a aligator clip..to test for voltage in wires etc...

but airbag test light is on instrument cluster and flashes so many times when ya crank the truck..

and computer light is that idiot light that says check engine...

Maybe ya should ask them to explain it a bit more...

good luck

I bought my "airbag safe" test light 6 or 7 years ago and have yet to have a problem. It's simply called, "The Probe", and came from either Matco or SnapOn Tools.

you might have heard it called a SST. but anyways its a probe that isnt supposed to give out any current when probing wires. even a small amout of current could set a airbag off right in your face or mess up some other computer in your car/truck. your only "true" safe tester is a DMM (digital multimeter).

arrrivalanche is right...the only airbag safe tester is a DIMM. But even, so don't screw with the flimsy yellow wires or yellow connectors to begin with. You don't need to. I've heard of the airbags deploying just by unplugging and plugging them back in at the wrong time...so i just avoid them. Be careful, that can get real expensive otherwise
