What Is Up With The 192.220.112.39

Ahhhh - that's through the DNS you hit in cyberspace. The DNS Server I hit in cyberspace still puts http://www.cafcna.com to the old site.

It's going to take 24 to 72 hours - just use the IP until it's all done...

For the non-technical that is the static IP address for ChevyAvalancheFanClub.Com - in other words that is our address in cyberspace.

Out on the internet there are special servers that point the way for 192.220.112.39 to go to ChevyAvalancheFanClub.Com.

HOWEVER! It takes about 48 to 72 hours for all of those special servers, called DNS servers all around the world to update with our new information. So right now if you type in chevyavalanchefanclub.com - you'll probably go to the old site on Earthlink. As the hours go by more and more of you will go to the new site here. After 48 hours most people will be here when they type in the URL.

So - while we're waiting for the DNS servers to update - http://192.220.112.39 is our new address. Think of it as we've moved into a bigger store front, but the sign guy hasn't come out and put up our new store front yet...

Just wanted to say thanks to Chief and gandolphxx for getting us rehosted and up and running again. All of us have been going through withdrawal symptoms. My wife was asking me why my leg was twitching and kicking! Ha!

Guys, I know some of the work involved in rehosting and it's never a clean operation. It is even more tedious when dealing with third parties. So I appreciate the level of effort you've guys have made to get this done.

I'm kinda computer stupid, and some might agree that I'm that way acrossed the board. I like to read, but I type like a snail. This is the only forum I have ever actually taken part in. I felt bad when Chiefs cry for help went out and I didn't even understand all of the tech stuff he was asking for. I praise all those who helped make the move possible. Thank You All!!!

I'm so darn happy I might just run out and tip over the outhouse!!
